Aforeground is proposed in front of the Shiva temple and is provided
with amenities like congregational and interactive areas by introducing
‘kattas’ and a ‘kund’.
Acommunityarea is proposed beside the temple. This space is covered by a tensile
structure. People gather hereto interact and it can also act as a play area for small
kids. Temporary stalls are also provided.
Sinceit is a dense fabric with mostly residential structures as train houses, Lung
spaces are introduced in between so that air flow in and out of the buildings
happens.

stand. Otherwise it can be used as a normal seating

14. -Forpublic lavatories provision of Sulabh flush compost toilet
whichis eco-friendly, technically appropriate, socio-culturally
acceptable and economically affordable.
-And the toilet can easily be constructed by local labour and
materials.
-It provides health benefits by safe disposal of humanexcreta
on-site.
-Thereare two pits of varyingsize and capacity depending on
thenumberof users.
-The capacity of each pit is normallydesigned for 3 years
usage. It has a high potential for up gradation, and can be
easily connected to sewers when introduced in this area.

greenpockets on either side of the road.
Kattas areprovided incombination with the
greenpockets where the residents can sit and
interact.
By providing these spaces the house hold
activities get restricted on street.

washing clothes on the street.
