2. What is emana® technology?
Emana® represents a technological breakthrough; it is an innovative type of fibre which is
proven to improve thermo-regulation of the body and aid blood microcirculation.
The fibre is born out of extensive research and development and represents a new
generation of products pioneering a deeper interaction between textiles and the body.
Emana® bioactive crystals are woven into the fabric of the MACOM Smooth hotpants. They
harness the rays of infrared heat energy emitted by the surface of the body, which are then
re-emitted as Far Infrared rays (FIR) which dissipate evenly over the body’s surface bringing

By stimulating microcirculation and lymphatic drainage the effect of cellulite is

The re-radiation of FIR onto the skin regulates the temperature of the skin

Far Infrared rays are electromagnetic waves which are entirely invisible to the naked eye.
They are characterised by low energy and low penetration, measuring between 15 micrometres to
1mm, and can therefore spread heat whilst causing no collateral damage to any biological tissues.
