Oxidative stress is
mainly   caused     by
oxygen radicals (ROS)
and is closely related
to diseases such as
diabetes mellitus and
cancer.
Red blood cells which are
essentially susceptible to
attack by ROS.

The antioxidant capacity of
the cells in our bodies have a
key role in the defense and
maintenance of cellular
homeostasis.

 
Through methods such
as immunofluorescence
and exposure to different
peroxides, will determine
whether the cells that are
attacked by these
radicals, have variation in
electrical potential.
I think the study is a breakthrough
for knowledge about this issue
that increasingly is more related
to associated diseases, but hopefully
 in the future different cells
can be analyzed with this method for
measuring peroxidation and its influence
on the membrane potential.
Lipids are the main
component of the cell
membrane, the lipid bilayer
is basically composed of
lipids,      but       other
macromolecules are also
part of this physical barrier
and this are the proteins.
The major lipid bilayer
comprising mainly are:
phosphatidylcholine
phosphatidylethanolami
ne, phospholipids and
cholesterol.
Interactions between lipids
and proteins leading to different
functions as solute transport and
solvent particles receptors,
intercellular interaction, central
to the survival of the cell in their
midst.
Using methods such as x-ray fluorescence is
determined the structures of membrane
proteins and lipids and their interactions with
the environment either intracellular or
extracellular.

because the structure of de
cells and the interaction of
yours components is essential
for the healthy development of
an organism .
Know by methods inmunofluorenscencia if
membrane peroxidation causes changes in
membrane potential is useful to find other
diseases as diabetes mellitus and cancer and
others disorders of cell lysis.

of lipids and proteins and
their     interaction      using
methods such as x-rays
cristalometria, has a crucial
improtancia disaggregate the
functions     of   lipids   and
proteins, their interaction with
the cell in addition to the
body.
