 •    Chip that allows contactless communications
 similarly to Bluetooth

 •   Send information without needing to touch the
 devices or go through multiple steps setting up a
 connection.

 •   Evolution of the radio-frequency
 identification (RFID)

•   Mobile producers have started installing short range NFC
chips on board of their devices mainly to anticipate the demand of
touch-less payment capabilities

•  One in five smart phones will feature NFC tech by
2014, according to forecasts by Juniper Research

•    Not a new technology: used for years as the basis for the London
Underground's Oyster cards, where you simply tap your Oyster
