3. UCP East Orlando/Bailes Campus UCP is an all-inclusive school for children with and without disabilities. UCP stands for United Cerebral Palsy. 35,000 square foot facility – one of the only in the nation that practices full inclusion in the classroom.
4. Classroom Demographics I volunteered for a classroom with 11 students and 2 teachers. African American – 3 Caucasian – 5 Hispanic – 3 Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and ADHD were represented in the classroom
5. Personal Demographics 20 years old Caucasian Female Middle Class English speaker Interests include music, reading, riding my bike, spending time with family and friends, and anything to do with children.
6. Classroom Activities My main goal in this classroom was to explore the plethora of Assistive Technology each student had access to. My pictures illustrate children using different types of technology. Each day I’d spend an hour with two students in particular, working with them while using computer software to learn (a touch-screen computer was much easier for them to maneuver).
