- All images are taken from public sources of content provided by Kimball Office. The sources of content include assembly instructions, pricelists and website references. Traxx Upper Traxx holds is ideally suited to hang overheads. Lower Traxx is best to support worksurfaces. Traxx is a simple ¾” horizontal rail attached to the wall. Power and Electrical are taken from wall locations. This product integrates with all systems products and select modular desks and storage. Traxx is available in all paint finishes. Blocking is not required for this product. Upper Traxx is not required in every application. Tiles can be adapted to field dimensions. Work Tools are located in the Perks catalog.

- Traxx & Tiles This room, while a private conference area in this image, can easily accommodate Footprint storage can easily adapt the space for a private office. The upper and lower Traxx rail can hold your worksurfaces and overheads while your storage pieces can provide support. Traxx offers agility to an ever-changing landscape.

Custom paint finishes can be done locally by specifying antique white. The antique white finish acts as a primer. All paint finishes are available in Traxx. Traxx can be mounted at any height. Traxx is available in 72” and 144” , it can be cut in the field to the required custom dimension by the installer. Rails are purchased in sets with four splice plates included. Traxx does not have to be used in an upper and lower condition.

- Splice plates create a connection between two pieces of cut Traxx. In the center images you can see Traxx used around a column, or not. Traxx needs support every 18”. The smallest piece of Traxx that can be cut is 24” with 3 connection points for support. When you bridge Traxx, remember to account for the ¾” in configurations where the depth of a surface is critical. When creating a U-shaped configuration, 1 ½” is needed as a center surface reduction.
- Traxx Fastner Details, page 341. All hardware is provided by the dealer as wall conditions are best determined by the installer. Traxx can not extend more than 6” from the last connection. When hung as a pair the mounting height will vary depending on the corresponding panel system, if used.
- Traxx Presentation Tools, page 342. - Presentation tools allow conference height tiles to create a more in depth presentation. - Tools can be built up to 3 layers. - Flexboards provide a marker or fabric combination. - Swivel marker/ presentation boards allow use of corner space in a room. - To end a defined space consider using an end trim to finish off the cut edge located on page 324.
- Traxx fastener Concealment Detail, page 343. Fastener concealment is sold as two finishes vinyl and felt. The 700” roll will accommodate two sets of 144” Traxx. Vinyl is specifically used for instances used with conferencing solutions as felt would bunch when tools are run across. Felt is used primarily in closed/ private office applications. Felt is half the price of vinyl. Customers like to use other products like ribbon to reflect different aesthetics.
- Traxx Tiles Heights, starts on page 344 & 347 Reference the corresponding tile height to the appropriate panel system. When using tiles with Xsite be sure to include fabric that is railroaded. Tiles can be field scribed. Trim channels can add space of conceal cut edges. Additional channels may be required when creating additional tiles. Conferencing tiles are also used with 80” high panels.
- Traxx & Tile Details Tackable acoustical panels are 2 5⁄8" thick. Solid hardboard center septum is covered with two densities of fiberglass and the selected fabric. Most popular tiles are fabric. The least expensive option is to go the distance however they can be specified to match worksurface dimensions. Tiles can be cut in the field to exact dimension. Trim channels act as spacers in filling odd and uneven dimensions.
- Traxx Slat Tile and Combination Tile Heights, page 346 & 347. To reduce cost combination tiles can be specified. The slats are 1” and the grooves are ½”. The grooves are used to plan with work tools. Be sure to specify the correct finish to the selected trim channels. When specifying combination tiles be sure to pay particular attention to the height of the overhead with fabric height.
- Traxx Applications (Yes, images are dated but still applicable) Traxx is a universal product. We are looking at four unique applications. Upper left, private office with Footprint. Upper right, conference application for team work or training. Lower left, a conference room with layers of tools for a brainstorming session. Lower right, reference library or workroom. Traxx can be used with systems product as well as a stand alone product. Consider the various examples shown here. While Traxx are used in specific positions the locations are actually endless.
- Traxx & Tiles with Cetra You can attach Cetra panels to Traxx with a starter panel. The back wall does not require panels given the panels are attached to Traxx. The same profile of overheads can be used on Traxx or Cetra panels the difference is the bracket.
- Panel spacing with Traxx in CAP. Supports should be placed in the front of the surfaces however it would take away from text description which is why the yare omitted. When planning with Traxx & tiles consider the spacing for the panels. The spacing may require the modification of worksurfaces. Is it a “special “ that would be quoted from By Design? Notice the thickness of panels will creep into the worksurfaces. Cetra panel thickness is referenced into the surfaces however the same application would apply for Interworks EQ.

- Traxx with Interworks EQ in CAP, page 325. You want to start the Interworks panel from the edge of Traxx based on the full end trim on the left and right. Surfaces will not match the vertical supports if all the runs are not brought off of Traxx. You do not want to mix wall-mounts with the Traxx starter.
- Traxx Worksurface Brackets, page 351. Important: Brackets must be specified separately and sold individually. 1 3/16” needs support every 48”. 1 9/16” needs support every 60”. Brackets have an anti-kick-out design that provides secure attachment. A variety of additional supports such as angel brackets and support panels are used from Footprint. - Go over the items used in the example at the bottom and what it would look like specified on the computer. - Surface support panels in wood, laminate or metal should be set 1” from the wll for molding or wires.
- Storage spacing with Traxx. - Brackets can easily be spaced any place along the traxx rails. Spacing is located behind the pedestal to accommodate the worksurface brackets.
