Departure to Óbidos, visiting the quaint medieval walled town, on our way to coastaltown of Nazaré, with its beautiful beach and fishing port. On to Batalha, to visit theimposing gothic Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Site).After lunch we continue to the famous Shrine of Fátima, before continuing to Coimbra,Portugal´s oldest university town. To Vila Real, capital of Trás-os-Montes region, we visit the Mateus Manor,best example of baroque architecture, with its unique gardens and park.A scenic drive, through the rugged hills and valleys of the Port Wineproducing region, will bring us to Régua, on the right bank of the DouroRiver.To historical Lamego, with its famous Shrine to Our Lady of the Remedies,and Viseu, the heart of the Dão wine producing region. We climb up to Guarda – over 1000m above sea level – and continue via Belmonte toCastelo Branco.After Lunch, on to Estremoz, where we shall see the Castle and the famous marblequarries.To monumental Évora, famous for its Roman Temple and much more, and UNESCOWorld Heritage Site.
