Berlin is the capital city of Germany, located in the northern part of the country. The landmark Berlin Wall was built in 1961 to separate East and West Berlin but was destroyed in 1989, reunifying the city when the people were able to meet again after it was taken down. Angela Merkel is the current president of Germany and a famous world leader.
