Slideshare is a web tool that a person can use to upload and share
power point presentations and documents. SlideShare is the world’s
largest community for sharing presentations. It has 60 million
monthly visitors and 130 million page views. It is one of the 200
most visited websites in the world. Slideshare supports many
different formats including, PDF, videos and webinars. Some big
corporations that use Slideshare are, the Whitehouse, US
ARMY/NAVY, NASA, United Nations, and BlackBerry. It has
partnerships with Twitter, Google Handouts and
FreeConference.com.
In 2009, the official website for the US President (Whitehouse.gov)
signed user agreements with eight of the world's leading social
media websites. SlideShare was one of them. SlideShare is regularly
used by the Whitehouse and many other US government
departments. Slideshare is a very handy and useful website; I will
use it in the future.
