RESEARCH PROJECTS/ PRACTICALS
Year TITLE
Title: - “Investigation into differentiation of cells in three dimensional constructs in vitro” under Prof.
Stefan Przyborski at University of Durham.
• Successfully cultured EC stem cells on novel 3D scaffolds...
• Determined the optimal seeding density for the novel scaffolds.
• Measured the optimal seeding density for the scaffolds.
• Highlighted that cells exhibit better growth in 3D environment as compared to 2D.
Title: - “Effect of Fixatives and Tissue Processing on the Content and Integrity of Nucleic Acids” under
Prof. Alan Curry at University of Central Lancashire.
• Determined the optimal fixative to be used for tissue processing
• Carried out successfully DNA, RNA isolations, purification and quantification.

SOFTWARES
I have a good knowledge of computer-based skills such as, Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and
Adobe Photoshop 14. Moreover, my studies included an extensive coverage of statistical packages like SPSS
for data analysis and I have done a course in basic computer programming (MATLAB).
WORK EXPERIENCE (2010-2011)
April ’10. B.N. Bandodkar College of Science (India):- Worked on a project involved in extraction of stem cells
from human bone marrow and coxing them into endothelial lineage.
Aug’10 Shrividya Enterprises, India: - Worked as a research assistant for the preparation of biodegradable foam
from freeze-dried Chitosan solutions, which have applications in tissue engineering.
