Michelle Rosales of Forensic Analytical Consulting Services gave a presentation on evaluating wildfire smoke impact. She discussed assessing smoke damage through background research, visual inspection for staining, particulate and pathways, sampling and analysis, and making conclusions. Recommendations included cleaning if smoke odor, debris or sample analysis found greater than 10% combustion products. Unethical practices like misleading claims, planting evidence, or colluding to inflate costs were also covered.
