7. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
Art Zeile and Joel Daly have (literally) shared an office since 1992. Paired together
in the Air Force to lead a major contract negotiation, they immediately clicked. After
serving together on several other projects, their partnership was solidified.
During the 1990’s, Art and Joel traded their military uniforms for civvies running several
successful businesses together, all the while growing their shared passion for building
companies on the forefront of new technologies. As Joel explains, “There are few times
in history when technologies have changed the world and we’ve been fortunate to be a
part of that.”
In 2008, Art and Joel worked with investors to acquire the strong regional web hosting
player, HostMySite.com, which had been in business since 1997. In 2009, HostMySite
purchased Hosting.com, took on the Hosting.com name, and relocated from Newark to
Denver. That same year, the company launched its first public cloud offering, making
HOSTING one of the earliest service suppliers of cloud. With the acquisition of Neospire
in 2011 the company grew in size, expertise and service offerings. Today, HOSTING
owns and operates six data centers across the United States in Denver, Newark, Dallas,
Louisville, Irvine and San Francisco.
