FINAL YEAR PROJECT
My final year project was about “PID Control of Line Following Robot: A Wireless GUI Offline Tuning
Strategy”. It describes the best offline PID tuning methods for the IR line following robot. The robot
follows a random line type; black line on a white background. The three offline PID tuning methods has
been proposed and used; close-loop Ziegler-Nichols, Tyreus-Luyben and Mathematical Try and Error
Methods. Each method requires excel data logging, PID gain interface and graph user interface (GUI) for
collecting data, controlling and monitoring wirelessly. Line Following robot of four wheel vehicle has
been proposed. Front tire for steering and rear tire for driving. This project covers how hardware and
software are developedandwirelesslyinterface toeachotherwithreal data loggingandanalysis.
