2. THE POSITION – ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Job Scope Overview
Corporate Accounting Manager should be a highly-motivated, intelligent, team-oriented professional who can help our
client reach their goals. This position will manage the global consolidation process, Sarbanes Oxley compliance at the
corporate level, and coordination of the external audit. This position will lead the implementation of Hyperion Financial
Management (HFM) and oversee HFM consolidation process and improvements to the process.
The Corporate Accounting Manager will be a key business partner to the company’s Vice President, Controller and Chief
Financial Officer and as a significant interface with department managers and leaders of functional areas across the
company. This position will also work closely with the internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual
audits.
Major Responsibilities
 Manage the global consolidation process. This position will be responsible for all US accounting and reporting for
the company’s subsidiaries internationally.
 Ability to interpret complex financial data and present results to all levels of management in a clear and concise
format.
 Advise management and staff on complex or new accounting transactions and GAAP issues which could impact the
company.
 Monitoring of international accounting processes and reporting including recording of complex intercompany
transactions.
 Assist in preparation of quarterly and year-end SEC reports, which includes the preparation of external financial
reporting including consolidated external financial statements to SEC (10Ks, 10Qs and 8Ks).
 Responsible for internal controls and policies/ procedures to ensure appropriate accounting and disclosure of
financial transactions. Ensure compliance as key control and process owner of the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal
control process.
 Assisting with external audit process, including coordination of audit requests and frequent communication with
audit team.
 Responsible for driving continued process improvements. Examples of continued process improvements include
more efficient and shorter month end close, creating, documenting and communicating policies, and working with
other departments to create repeatable, consistent processes. Also responsible for establishing and implementing
accounting policies and maintaining effective controls.
Education and Ideal Experience
 Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
 Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, FASB, SEC standards and filing requirements, and SOX compliance.
 CPA with 7 + years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience and recent
public company experience.
 Must have experience using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle E- Business Suite.
 Current or recent experience in Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
 Experience with international subsidiaries and foreign currency translation strongly preferred.
Compensation
The total compensation package will be based on the experience of the qualified candidate.
