Saudi Aramco: Company General Use
• Saudi SMPs 3 - 10 are entitled for 30 L-days.
• Saudi 11+ SMPs are entitled for 36 L-days.
This balance is calculated on daily basis, for example, when an SMP works for 10 days
(including weekends) he/she will have 1 L-day.
• Regardless of the absence type during the week, SMP must comply with the weekends policy
& report to work 2 days to be eligible for paid weekend.

• Up to 3 days, approved medical leave from the Ministry of Health “SEHHATY” shall be
reflected directly to the SMP monthly timesheet
• 4 days and above, approved medical leaves from Ministry Of Health “SEHHATY” have to be
submitted through the e-Leave System.
• Medical leave is only accepted from an In-Kingdom medical organizations.

Death leave
As labor law the Saudi employee is entitled to 5
days as P time (Through E leave system) as P time
in the event of the death of his wife or one of his
ascendants (father, mother and Grandparents) or
descendant (Children and grandchildren).
Saudi SMP is entitled for three days as P time in
the event of the death of one of the siblings
(brothers and sisters).

Maternity leave
• Submit as P time directly on e-leave system
• Saudi female shall be treated in accordance
with Saudi labor law. Which 70 days for
maternity leave.
• (Birth certificate is required).
• Any emergency occurs during the End of
Contract Leave (EOC Leave) is not
reimbursable.

Maternity leave
All Saudi female employees are eligible for 10
weeks of Maternity Leave with full pay regardless
of their years of continuous service with the
Company. The ten week leave period is intended
to be taken as four weeks prior to delivery and six
weeks after delivery or the female employee may
opt for using their entire 10 weeks consecutively
post delivery
SMPs female are entitled for one hour for feeding
2 years long, that's mean works 7 hours daily and
record on the time sheet 8 hours.

Emergency leave
Saudi SMP that accompanies his/her legal
dependents, spouse or parents due to
critical condition that could lead to death,
such Saudi SMP shall be entitled up to ten
(10) days leave with pay, inclusive of
holidays and weekends.

SMP shall be reimbursed a least cost round
trip ticket to the airport nearest the point
where the Emergency exists but no farther
than the point of origin. Incidental expenses
are not reimbursable

Saudi Aramco designated holidays within the term of the Release PO are paid if the
employee is present at work or on paid leave type ‘L’/‘M’ time.

• SMP is eligible for round trip ticket + travel days (T) time if the point of origin is
400+ KM from the work location.
• SMP who completes the 12 months contract period will be entitled for travel days
and one way return flight ticket to his/her point of origin through GTS .
• All EOC leave tickets will be through GTS only.

20. Resignation
o SMP wishing to voluntarily resign during his Release PO must give
at least sixty (60) days’ notice to his Contractor who shall inform
SMPCAD.
o SMP who completes the 12 months contract period will be
entitled for travel days and one way return flight ticket to
his/her point of origin through GTS. PCAD immediately.

21. New grade/job
o Since SMP has upgrade, SMP must submit CRPO
cancellation encashment (Action start/end date must
reflect the SMP last working date). please don’t forget to
mention the return to work date in justification.
o SMP timesheet must be filled up to the last working date
only.

Saudi Aramco: Company General Use
• Apply Saudi Aramco procedures.
• For absence without excuse mark Z time directly on timesheet. Z time in conjunction with
regular time can’t be done due to system deviation however regular time can be reduced
based on the given Z time, for example reduces the regular hours in the timesheet to 6
hours in case of SMP absence for 2 hours.
