Although this Gospel is, by some among the learned, supposed to have been really written by Nicodemus, who became a disciple of Jesus Christ, and conversed with him; others conjecture that it was a forgery towards the close of the third century by some zealous believer, who observing that there had been appeals made by the Christians of the former age, to the Acts of Pilate, but that such Acts could not be produced, imagined it would be of service to Christianity to fabricate and publish this Gospel; as it would both confirm the Christians under persecution, and convince the Heathens of the truth of the Christian religion.

3. 24 इसलिथे जब मैं बडा हुआ, िे मेरे बच्दं, मैं
मन की सीधाई से चिने िगा, और अपक

लपता और भाइयदंक
े लिथे लकसान िद गया,
और उनकी ऋतु क
े अनुसार खेतदंमें से फि
िाया करता या।
25 और मेरे लपता ने यि देखकर, लक मैं उसक

सम्मुख सीधाई से चिता रिा, मुझे आशीर्
दी।
26 और मैं अपने कामदं में व्यस्त न था, और न
अपने पडदसी से डाि करता था, और न उस
से द्वेर् रखता था।
27 मैं ने कभी लकसी की लनन्दा निीं की, और
न लकसी मनुष् क
े प्राण की लनन्दा की, और
अपनी नाईं सीधाई की सी चाि चिता रिा।
28 इस कारण जब मैं पैंतीस वर्ष का हुआ, तब

कारण मेरी शन्धक्त नष्ट िद गई, और मैं ने कभी
स्त्री से सुख भदगने क
े लवर्य में सदचा भी निीं;
परन्तु मेरे पररश्रम क
े कारण नींद मुझ पर
िावी िद गई।
29 और मेरा लपता सदा मेरी सच्ाई से
आनन्धन्दत िदता था, क्दंलक मैं याजक क
े द्वारा
सब पलििी उपज यिदवा कद चढ़ाया करता
था; लफर मेरे लपता कद भी.
30 और यिदवा ने मेरे िाथ में अपनी भिाई
दस िजार गुणा बढ़ा दी; और मेरे लपता जैकब
भी जानते थे लक ईश्वर ने मेरे अक
े िेपन में
सिायता की िै।
31 क्दंलक मैं ने अपने मन की सीधाई से सब
क
ं गािदं और सताए हुओं कद पृय्वी की अच्छी
वस्तुएं दी िैं।
32 और अब, िे मेरे बच्दं, मेरी सुनद, और
अपने मन की सीधाई से चिद, क्दंलक मैं ने
उस में वि सब देखा िै जद यिदवा कद भाता
िै। '
33 एक मनवािा सदने का िािच निींकरता,
वि अपने पडदसी क
े पास निीं जाता, वि

े सुख-सुलवधाओं की िािसा
निींकरता, वि भांलत-भांलत क
े वस्त्रदं से प्रसन्न
निीं िदता।
34 वि िम्बी आयु तक जीलवत रिना निीं
चािता, परन्तु क
े वि परमेश्वर की इच्छा की
बाट जदिता िै।
35 और छि की आत्माओं का उस पर क

वश निीं, क्दंलक वि न्धस्त्रयदंकी सुन्दरता पर
दृलष्ट निींकरता, किींऐसा न िद लक वि अपने
मन कद लबगाडकर अशुद्ध कर िे।
36 उसक
े लवचारदं में डाि निीं, कदई दुष्ट
उसक
े मन कद उदास निीं करता, और न
उसक
े मन में अतृप्त िािसा से लचन्ता िदती
िै।
37 क्दंलक वि मन की सीधाई से चिता िै,
और मन की सीधाई से सब क
ु छ देखता िै,
और संसार की बुराई से बनी बुरी आंखदं से दू र
रिता िै, ऐसा न िद लक वि प्रभु की लकसी भी
आज्ञा कद उिटफ
े र का लशकार देख िे।
38 इसलिये िे मेरे बािकद, परमेश्वर की
व्यवस्था का पािन करद, और अलववालित रिद,
और लनष्कपटता से चिद, और अपने पडदसी

े कामदं में िाथ न डािना, परन्तु प्रभु और
अपने पडदसी से प्रेम रखना, और दीनदं और
लनबषिदं पर दया करना।
39 खेती क
े काम में अपनी पीठ झुकाओ, और
खेती क
े सब कामदं में पररश्रम करद, और
धन्यवाद क
े साथ यिदवा कद भेंट चढ़ाओ।
40 क्दंलक यिदवा पृय्वी की पलििी उपज से
तुझे आशीर् देगा, जैसा उस ने िालबि से िे
कर अब तक सब पलवत्र िदगदंकद आशीर्
लदया िै।
41 क्दंलक पृय्वी की उपजाऊ उपज क
े फि
कद, जद पररश्रम से उपजाया जाता िै, छदड
और कदई भाग तुम्हें निीं लदया जाता।
42 क्दंलक िमारे लपता याक
ू ब ने मुझे पृय्वी की
आशीर्ें, और पलििी उपज की आशीर्ें दीं।
4. 43 और यिदवा ने िेवी और यहदा कद याक
ू ब
क
े वंश क
े बीच में भी मलिमा दी; क्दंलक
यिदवा ने उन्हें लनज भाग लदया, और िेवी कद
याजक पद, और यहदा कद राज्य लदया।
44 इसलिये तुम उनकी मानद, और अपने
लपता क
े समान सीधा चाि चिद; क्दंलक गाद
कद इस्राएि पर चढ़ाई करनेवािी सेना कद
नाश करने का अलधकार लदया गया िै।

1 इसलिये िे मेरे बच्दं, यि जान िद, लक
अन्धन्तम समय में तुम्हारे पुत्र क
ुं वारेपन कद
त्याग देंगे, और अतृप्त िािसा में िगे रिेंगे।
2 और भदिापन छदडकर बैर क
े लनकट
आऊ
ं गा; और यिदवा की आज्ञाओं कद
त्यागकर वे बेलियार में िगे रिेंगे।
3 और वे खेती-बाडी छदडकर अपनी बुरी
युन्धक्तयदं क
े पीछे चिेंगे, और अन्यजालतयदं में
लततर-लबतर िद जाएं गे, और अपने शत्रुओं की
सेवा करेंगे।
4 इसलिये क्ा तू अपक

आज्ञा देता िै, लक यलद वे पाप करें, तद तुरन्त

5 इसलिये देखद, जैसा तुम देखते िद, मैं एक
सौ छब्बीस वर्ष का हं, और मुझे कदई पाप
करने का भान निीं िै।
6 अपनी पत्नी कद छदड मैं ने लकसी स्त्री कद
निीं जाना। मैंने कभी आाँखें उठाकर
व्यलभचार निीं लकया।
7 मैं ने दाखमधु निीं लपया, लक उसक
े द्वारा
भटक
ूं ;
8 मैं ने अपने पडदसी की लकसी भी मनभावनी
वस्तु का िािच निीं लकया।
9 मेरे मन में कपट उत्पन्न न हुआ;
10 झूठ मेरे मुंि से निीं लनकिा।
11 यलद कदई मनुष् संकट में िदता, तद मैं
उसकी आि क
े साथ अपनी आि भी लमिाता,
12 और मैं ने अपनी रदटी क
ं गािदंकद बांट दी।
13 मैं भन्धक्त करता रिा, और जीवन भर सत्य
पर चिता रिा।
14 मैं ने यिदवा से प्रेम रखा; वैसे िी िर एक
मनुष् भी अपने सम्पूणष मन से।
15 िे मेरे बच्दं, तुम भी ऐसा िी करद, और
बेलियार की सब आत्मा तुम्हारे पास से भाग
जाएगी, और दुष्टदं का कदई काम तुम पर
प्रभुता न करेगा;
16 और तुम सब बनैिे पशुओं कद अपने वश
में करदगे, क्दंलक आकाश और पृय्वी का
