2. Matthew 22:1-3
Jesus spoke to them again in parables,
saying: âThe kingdom of heaven is like a
king who prepared a wedding banquet for
his son. He sent his servants to those who
had been invited to the banquet to tell
them to come, but they refused to come.

3. Matthew 22:4-5
Then he sent some more servants and said,
âTell those who have been invited that I
have prepared my dinner: My oxen and the
fattened cattle have been butchered, and
everything is ready. Come to the wedding
banquet.â But they paid no attention and
went offâone to his field, another to his
business.

4. Matthew 22:6-8
The rest seized his servants, mistreated
them and killed them. The king was
enraged. He sent his army and destroyed
those murderers and burned their city.
Then he said to his servants, âThe wedding
banquet is ready, but those I invited did not
deserve to come.

5. Matthew 22:9-10
Go to the street corners and invite to the
banquet anyone you find.â So the servants

the people they could find, both good and

guests.

Those INITIALLY chosen rejected the
INVITATION.
To CHOOSE they had to first be CHOSEN (or
invited), but once invited they still had to
make the CHOICE to come.
13. The REPETITION of the

their REFUSAL to come.
Acceptance of the invitation is reflected in
oneâs willingness to REPENT.

We have a distinction between being
CALLED and being CHOSEN.
18. God has extended His call through the
gospel, the question becomes are you
INDIFFERENT to it, HOSTILE to it, or willing
to be CHANGED by it? If the later, then you
are among, the chosen.
