Drag And Lift
When air flows through an aero foil structure due to the
variations of velocity at the top and bottom part which give
rise to a pressure variation that is the pressure at lower part
will be high which lifts the body

Rear Spoilers are slightly different in operation in
simplest terms its like an inverted wing
At high speeds the car body generates significant amount
of lift which reduces its traction and thus its
maneuverability and stability. This could be only
compensated by increasing the weight of the car and
thus taking a penalty of performance. This is were the
rear spoilers help in design. They provide the extra
downward force to compensate for the lift generated by
the car
