1 Overview
1.1 System Introduction
ZXDU68 T601 system is a 50 A rectifier series power supply system with -48 VDC
output. It is an intelligent and unattended power equipment widely used in commutation,
microwave, optical transmission equipment and others communication systems.
In full configuration, the system can have twelve ZXD2400 (V4.3) rectifiers, which form a
power system with a maximum of 600 A output.

The number of LLVD1 and LLVD2 load branches
can be flexibly configured according to the user’s

Background Monitoring
Software
The background monitoring software serves to
realize the background monitoring of the power
supply system. The system can be connected to
the computer where the monitoring software is
installed by means of RS232/RS485 interface or
other networking modes.

2 Features
ZXDU68 T601 system has the following features.
• ZXD2400 (V4.3) rectifier module:
− Input power factor higher than 0.99.
− Rated efficiency higher than 92%.
− Power density up to 854 mW/cm3.
− Power loss during standby mode less than 4 W.
− Electromagnetic compatibility Complying with IEN61000, YD/T983 and
standards. Conductive disturbance and radioactive Disturbance complying with
EN55022A requirements.
− Complies with GB4943-2001 safety standard requirements.

− AC input under/over-voltage protection, PFC output under/over-voltage
protection, DC output over-voltage/current protection and over temperature
protection.
− Drawer-like structure, convenient for transportation, installation and
maintenance.
− The rectifiers are hot-pluggable. In case any rectifier fails, the faulty rectifier
automatically stops working.
• Power management features:
− The system operates from three-phase AC power source with a wide input
voltage ranging from 80 VAC to 300 VAC, suitable for areas with poor power
supply quality.
− Automatic and reliable charging and discharging control function, extending the
battery life span.
− LLVD functions (can be configured manually or automatically). These functions
can be configured according to the user requirement.
− The system is provided with class C lightning protection, DClightning protection
and other lightning protection types, enssuring high reliability of the whole
system.
− AC auxiliary output function (optional).
• System features:
− Meets the modern communication technology trend requirements.
− The system adopts modular design and automatic current equalization
technology, which make it capable of N+1 backup and easy expansion.
− PC based background monitoring and management functions: remote
measurement, remote information, remote control.
− The system has a flexible configuration. Rectifiers can be added/removed while
the system is operating.
− High reliability with MTBF greater than or equal to 5 x 106
h (N+1 backups;
MTTR < 2 h).
− Compact structure. Various units, including AC/DC power distribution unit,
rectifiers and the monitoring unit, are built in one chassis. ring
• Intelligent monitoring unit, performing foreground monitor and the following
management functions:
− Querying real-time operation information.
− Querying history operation information.

− Querying battery discharge record and peak record.
− Setting system parameters.
− Setting battery parameters.
− Setting communication parameters.
− Setting output relay parameters.
− Setting alarm threshold.
3 Functions
3.1 Alarm management function
The monitoring unit processes the real-time system data according to the parameters
set by users. When a critical fault occurs, it generates an alarm and reports it to
background PC automatically. The fault information is then recorded and stored locally.
Users can access to alarms information through the monitoring unit directly. The details
are shown in the table below:

The system has reliable and real-time alarm management
function.
Alarm mode
In case of any alarm, the monitoring unit generates audible and
visual signal to inform the maintenance personnel and reports the
alarm information to a background PC through its communication
interface. Press any key to mute the alarm sound; then the ALM
indicator keeps glowing until the fault is eliminated.
3.2 Battery management function
The monitoring unit manages storage battery charging in three modes: periodic
equalized charging mode, equalized charging mode (after power failure) and floating
charging mode.
When the mains supply is cut off, the battery supplies the powerfor load. When the
battery is discharged to a certain voltage (user can set this threshold through the
monitoring unit), an alarm will be generated.

3.3 Control Functions
The system is provided with manual /automatic Load Low Voltage Disconnect (LLVD)
functions. Users can configure the loads according to the real application requirement.
Control the power-on, power-off, the equalized charging and the float charging of the
rectifier through the control instruction of the foreground man-machine interaction
operation or through the background computer. Adjust the output voltage of the rectifier
(-42 V to -58 V, adjustable continuously) according to the user requirements.
3.4 Three-Remote Functions
• Remote information.
• Remote control.
• Remote measurement.
3.5 Man-machine interaction Functions
The LCD and keys constitute the man-machine interaction, which enables the user to
set the system operating parameters and query the related information. The operation is
convenient and reliable.
3.6 Communication Functions
RS232/RS485 communication interfaces are provided. Centralized monitoring can be
realized through other modes.

All rights reserved. 1 1 Overview 1.1 System Introduction ZXDU68 T601 system is a 50 A rectifier series power supply system with -48 VDC output. It is an intelligent and unattended power equipment widely used in commutation, microwave, optical transmission equipment and others communication systems. In full configuration, the system can have twelve ZXD2400 (V4.3) rectifiers, which form a power system with a maximum of 600 A output. 1.2 System Structure Figure 1 Cabinet appearance 1.3 System Configuration The system configuration is described as below: Table 1 System Configuration Component Maximum Configuration AC Distribution AC input There are two AC input modes Single air switch mode: One input air switch (3 phases) Double air switch mode: Two input air switches (3 phases). AC auxiliary output Optional: Each phase current should be less than or equal to 16 A.

ZTE Confidential Proprietary Component Maximum Configuration DC Distribution DC Output Up to 10 load branches are available: 6 LLVD1 load branches (4 branches for the fuses and 2 for the air switches) and 4 LLVD2 load branches. Extended DC output: 7 LLVD1/LLVD2 extended air switch branches ( with at most 150 A total current) or 4 fuse branches (with at most 100 A per branch). The number of LLVD1 and LLVD2 load branches can be flexibly configured according to the user’s requirement. DC Input Two battery input branches with 500 A fuses Emergency light Optional configuration Rectifier 12 sets Monitoring Unit 1 set Lightning Arrester Level C lightning arrester (The lightning arrester should be installed before introducing the AC power supply to the power equipment.) DC surge arrester Background Monitoring Software The background monitoring software serves to realize the background monitoring of the power supply system. The system can be connected to the computer where the monitoring software is installed by means of RS232/RS485 interface or other networking modes. Cabinet Height: 1600 mm (Optional: Add a 400 mm height top cap). 2 Features ZXDU68 T601 system has the following features. • ZXD2400 (V4.3) rectifier module: − Input power factor higher than 0.99. − Rated efficiency higher than 92%. − Power density up to 854 mW/cm3. − Power loss during standby mode less than 4 W. − Electromagnetic compatibility Complying with IEN61000, YD/T983 and standards. Conductive disturbance and radioactive Disturbance complying with EN55022A requirements. − Complies with GB4943-2001 safety standard requirements.

All rights reserved. 3 − AC input under/over-voltage protection, PFC output under/over-voltage protection, DC output over-voltage/current protection and over temperature protection. − Drawer-like structure, convenient for transportation, installation and maintenance. − The rectifiers are hot-pluggable. In case any rectifier fails, the faulty rectifier automatically stops working. • Power management features: − The system operates from three-phase AC power source with a wide input voltage ranging from 80 VAC to 300 VAC, suitable for areas with poor power supply quality. − Automatic and reliable charging and discharging control function, extending the battery life span. − LLVD functions (can be configured manually or automatically). These functions can be configured according to the user requirement. − The system is provided with class C lightning protection, DClightning protection and other lightning protection types, enssuring high reliability of the whole system. − AC auxiliary output function (optional). • System features: − Meets the modern communication technology trend requirements. − The system adopts modular design and automatic current equalization technology, which make it capable of N+1 backup and easy expansion. − PC based background monitoring and management functions: remote measurement, remote information, remote control. − The system has a flexible configuration. Rectifiers can be added/removed while the system is operating. − High reliability with MTBF greater than or equal to 5 x 106 h (N+1 backups; MTTR < 2 h). − Compact structure. Various units, including AC/DC power distribution unit, rectifiers and the monitoring unit, are built in one chassis. ring • Intelligent monitoring unit, performing foreground monitor and the following management functions: − Querying real-time operation information. − Querying history operation information.

ZTE Confidential Proprietary − Querying battery discharge record and peak record. − Setting system parameters. − Setting battery parameters. − Setting communication parameters. − Setting output relay parameters. − Setting alarm threshold. 3 Functions 3.1 Alarm management function The monitoring unit processes the real-time system data according to the parameters set by users. When a critical fault occurs, it generates an alarm and reports it to background PC automatically. The fault information is then recorded and stored locally. Users can access to alarms information through the monitoring unit directly. The details are shown in the table below: Table 2 Alarm management function Button Description Alarm setting A user can set the upper and lower limits of the system parameters according to the real application requirements. Alarm management The system has reliable and real-time alarm management function. Alarm mode In case of any alarm, the monitoring unit generates audible and visual signal to inform the maintenance personnel and reports the alarm information to a background PC through its communication interface. When the battery is discharged to a certain voltage (user can set this threshold through the monitoring unit), an alarm will be generated.

Users can configure the loads according to the real application requirement. Control the power-on, power-off, the equalized charging and the float charging of the rectifier through the control instruction of the foreground man-machine interaction operation or through the background computer.
