Mothers Are Special
There is no love like a mother's love,
no stronger connection on earth
Like the priceless bond that comes
from God,to a mother when
she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time
And when her children need her
most,a mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one
For all the tears and sorrow,
and for the special work they've
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on
Through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love
From the power God has given
and the power from up above.

Diwali is a major festival of India. It is
celebrated on a new moon night sometime in the
months of October and November. The exact day
of the festival is decided according to the Hindu
calendar. The day is primarily celebrated to
commemorate the return of Lord Rama from his
14 years of exile. However, there are various other
stories associated with the festival.
According to popular legend, when Lord Rama
returned from his 14 years of exile after defeating
Raavana, the people of Ayodhya lighted candles
and diya to celebrate his return to the kingdom.
The festival gets its name from the lines of diya
that were celebrated the return of Lord Rama, and
hence the name Deepavali, literally translating to
“lines of light.” The name has gotten convoluted
to Diwali over the years. This day symbolizes the
victory of light over dark.

after 13 years and the day is celebrated to
commemorate their return. The Sikhs celebrate
this day to mark the day of freedom or the day
when their Guru, Guru Hargobind got free from
the jail. The Jains celebrate this day as they believe
that Lord Mahavira attained enlightenment on this
day. There are still other theories associated with
Diwali such as the rising of Goddess Lakshmi
from the sea, the killing of Narkasura by Lord
Vishnu and birth of Goddess Kali.
The event is largely celebrated in India.
Indians celebrate this day as the start of the new
business year. People light up their homes 2-3
days prior to the festival and gifts are exchanged
between friends and families. On the night of the
festival, prayers are offered to Lord Vishnu and
Goddess Lakshmi which is followed by bursting
of fire crackers eating of sweets and other gourmet
food. However, people refrain from meat and
alcohol on this day. Of late, a lot of clubs have
started organizing special parties on Diwali for the
young generation.
Although Diwali is largely an Indian
festival, it is widely celebrated in other countries
as well such as Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore,
Nepal, Myanmar, Maurititus and Fiji. In fact,
Diwali is a national holiday in each of these
countries.
Swachh Bharat Mission
Being the “
Change starts
from their home.”
As you know this
2nd Oct has a
special meaning for every Indian, in terms of
keeping our country clean. We the team of
SBAMI & ACH also extends this mission of
the country to our work place. I trust no one
celled deny this mission is the habit & routine
practice in SBAMI & ACH.
We pledge to keep it continue & alive the
dream of Mahatma Gandhi in his 150th
birthday anniversary who always spread.
"Sanitation is more important than
independence". He made cleanliness and
sanitation an integral Part of the Gandhian
way of living. His dream was total
sanitation for all.
Dussehra
Dussehra celebrates the Hindu god Rama's
victory over the demon king Ravana and the
triumph of good over evil. The epic
Ramayana tells the mythical story of the
Lord Rama who wins the lovely Sita for his
wife, only to have her carried off by Ravana,
the demon king of Lanka.
Ravana plays an important role in the
Ramayana. Ravana had a sister known as
Shoorpanakha. She fell in love with the
brothers Rama and Lakshamana and wanted
to marry one of them. Lakshamana refused to
marry her and Rama could not as he was
already married to Sita.
Shoorpanakha threatened to kill Sita, so that
she could marry Rama. This angered
Lakshamana who cut off Shoorpanakha's
nose and ears. Ravana then kidnapped Sita to
avenge his sister's injuries. Rama and
Lakshamana later fought a battle to rescue
Sita. The monkey god Hanuman and a huge
army of monkeys helped them.
The Mahabharata is another series of Hindu
myths that play a role in the Dussehra
festival. The Pandavas were five brothers
who fought evil forces with a set of
distinctive weapons. They abandoned their
weapons and went into exile for one year.
They hid their weapons in a Shami tree and
found them at the same place when they
returned from exile. They then worshipped
the tree before going to a battle, which they
won. This epic is also commemorated during
Dussehra.
