Why it didn’t
 Games
 Too much emphasis on
mechanics of what I was
learning
 Not enough conceptual
learning to tie practical
knowledge together
 Engaged a lot of learning
preferences with to much
emphasis placed on
memorization
 Got carried away with “game”
aspect instead of learning
 Needed time for more
reflection between levels

In the future…
 Social Networking Sites provide a good means of
staying connected with classmates and peers and
I believe this strategy has great potential for me
beyond this class because:
1. It can be used for peer review and collaborative
projects (GitHub)
2. It can help me get one-on-one tutoring
(SmarThinking)
3. It can help me connect with other people who
have similar interests or the same major
4. It can notify me of job openings and could
potentially be useful with keeping me in touch with
people who are hiring

In the future…
 Social Bookmarking
 Moving forward, I anticipate that Social
Bookmarking will continue to help me learn
because of the following reasons:
1. It is a great way to access quality
information that has proven useful for
others
2. Sharing class notes and documents allows
students to communicate and participate
outside the classroom
3. It is a good alternative to regular Google
searches
4. Can be used by employers to keep
employees informed of rules and general
practices in the workplace
5. Folksonomy can be utilized in educational
settings as well as job related settings
