As we near the end of the school year, many of our graduates are figuring out where they will find themselves studying in the Fall. While there is much to figure out academically, there is also a great deal to sort out logistically. Where will they live? How will they do laundry? And most importantly, how will they get around? If your college-bound kid is heading to another province at the end of the summer, here’s why you should arrange car transport so transportation in a new city is one less thing to worry about.

And most importantly, how will they get around? If your college-bound
kid is heading to another province at the end of the summer, here’s
why you should arrange car transport so transportation in a new city is
one less thing to worry about.
3. Flexible studies
Students need to be flexible. Between work, studies, and extra-curricular
activities, students are always on the move. Most students take shift
work and on-call jobs. Some university classes can run as late as 9 pm,
and some restaurant shifts extend well into the evening hours. Relying
on public transportation to get your student from home to school to
work is tedious and complicated. Busses and sky trains can’t be relied
upon too early in the morning or late at night demand, and depending
on your area it can be difficult to find the right connections that line up
with your work and school schedule. Ensuring your student can bring
their vehicle with them when they head off to college, allows them more
control and flexibility in scheduling school and work, and gives them the
benefit of taking shifts and scheduling classes that work best for them.
At Able Auto, we encourage parents to give their college-age kids the
independence and security they need to thrive by arranging car
transport in Canada when they study out of province. This gives parents
peace of mind and students a more reliable mode of transportation.
4. Safety first
Sending your student off to university is an exciting but worrisome
milestone. You’ve done all you can to prepare them for the world outside
your home, but that doesn’t mean you won’t worry about the choices
they are making and the challenges they may experience. A great way to
keep them safe and comfortable is to arrange car transport of their
vehicle to their out-of-province school. Whether it’s the ability to drive
home safely after an evening shift (rather than wait at a bus stop late at
night) or the ability to get themselves home from a party without relying
on a ride from a friend or stranger, letting your student keep their
vehicle can keep them safe in many ways. While you can’t be involved in
every decision they make moving forward, you can at least give them the
tools they need to make good ones.
5. A taste of responsibility
Attending school out of province is a big step towards adulthood and
independence for many students. Part of their growing independence is
a healthy dose of learning to be responsible and accountable for their
studies, their finances, and their household. Maintaining a vehicle is a
great lesson in all of these things. Budgeting for fuel, learning to navigate
a new city, and taking on the responsibility of a vehicle’s routine upkeep
are all helpful real-world skills for your student to add to their life’s
resume.
If you’ve got a student leaving the nest in the Fall, you want to make sure
they are prepared. As you make your to-do list (desk lamp, backpack,
grocery gift cards,) be sure to add “car transport Canada with Able Auto”
at the top. We might not be able to do their homework or fold their
laundry, but we can transport their car safely, so they’re set up for a safe
and successful semester.
