it will be completed and the quality and finish of

Pricing is based on general details. Your
actual cost is much higher after numerous
change orders are painfully negotiated
throughout the project.
Our pricing is firm and fixed from the beginning and
is based on detailed plans which are developed
jointly between Aspen Basement Company and you.
We are flexible throughout the project to make
changes, but those changes are in your complete
control.
You are not faced with unpleasant surprises or
unexpected change orders. Your final
investment is exactly what was agreed upon up
front.
After you sign the contract, all work is
performed by the lowest bidding trades.
We do not bid out your basement to the lowest cost
trades. Our crews are high quality craftsmen and
technicians and are consistent on all of our
basements.
You can be confident that your basement will
be constructed with high quality professional
personnel using high quality materials.
Layout and design is determined by the
builder, lacks creativity and is not user
friendly.
Each Aspen Basement Company design is unique
and customized to fit your needs. We creatively
design each basement with your close input and the
final product is an attractive and functional space.
Your basement will reflect your needs and
design touch, along with our creative ideas and

Small number of basic can lights or
fluorescent tube boxes are installed to just
meet code minimums.

Number of heating runs just meet code
minimums.
Plenty of heat runs and return air ducts are designed
into your basement. Our heating designs exceed code
requirements.
Your new basement will be the most comfortable
living space in your home. You will be warm and
cozy in the winter and cool in the summer.
Telephone and cable television jacks are extra. The number and location of telephone and cable
television jacks are determined by the homeowner and
are included in our design.
You will have telephone and television capability
where you need it.
No three-way electrical switches are provided. Three-way switches are incorporated into our designs to
make the lighting user friendly.
You will not be inconvenienced by having to walk
through dark areas to turn on/off lights.
No dimmers are provided. The number and location of dimmers are determined by
the homeowner and are included in our design.
Your lighting will be accented by dimming capability
where you want it.
Additional electrical sub panel is not provided. An additional electrical sub panel located in your
basement mechanical space is included in our designs.
You will have your basement circuits easily
identified and segregated in a sub panel.
No surround sound wiring is provided. 5.1 Surround sound wiring for movie rooms, home
theaters and other desired locations is included in our
design.
You will have the flexibility of installing various
styles of surround sound speakers in your home
theater or other area.
No future planning is made for your movie
room or home theater components.
We install flexible conduit from your movie room or home
theater screen to your component location.
You will have the capability of easily installing or

Large payments are required up front. We only require 10% at the time our agreement with
you is signed. Progressive payments are made
throughout the project and are tied to specific
milestones. The final payment is paid after all
inspections and punch list items are complete.
Your cash flow is not impacted and payments
are made as specific milestones and inspection
points are achieved.
Work is not fully permitted or inspected. All Aspen Basement Company work is fully
permitted by the appropriate jurisdictions and all
work is fully inspected. We complete all of the
required paperwork, submit all required plans and
manage the entire inspection process.
You have the peace of mind knowing that the
project is properly permitted and inspected, and
that all work performed by Aspen Basement
Company meets or exceeds all applicable
building codes.
You are asked to apply for the permit. Aspen Basement Company handles all permitting
paperwork and plans, as well as all inspections
No additional effort on your part is required to
properly permit the project.
Occasional project oversight is provided
by inexperienced personnel.
We provide you with a dedicated and experienced
Operations Manager and Design Manager. You will
be in direct and constant communication with these
individuals. An initial meeting is held with them
before construction begins to review all aspects of
the process, and they are there throughout the
project.
You have dedicated professionals who will be
in continual communication with you throughout
the entire project.
Company owners are present only at
contract signing and for final payment…
your primary interaction is through a
salesman.

Our experienced crews and Managers broom clean
your basement each evening. All tools, equipment
and construction materials are organized and put
away safely each evening.

Construction workers use your upstairs
bathroom throughout the project, leaving it
in less than clean condition.
Our crews do not use your upstairs bathroom. We
install a portable restroom at the beginning of the
project and all crews use this facility.
Your upstairs bathroom will not be used by our

Measurements and angles are not
accurate.
We use lasers in our initial measurements and
during construction to insure accurate
measurements and plumb and level construction.
Your basement walls, doors, windows and trim
