What is the importance of this research?
The fourth industrial revolution fundamentally change the way we work and live today and
tomorrow. To keep pace with the increased speed and demanding business needs
performance management is going through a major transformation in the U.S. What can be
learned from the latest best practices, and whether these are universally applicable in
Germany? These are the focal questions of the master thesis.

2. Who is undertaking the project?
This project is being conducted by Zoltan Czegledy under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth
Houldswort. Zoltan is an MBA candidate with more than 15 years of experience in
procurement and leadership at large global corporations across various industries. Elizabeth
works across Henley Business School in the areas of Managing People and International
HRM. She is a member of the British Academy of Management's Special Interest Group in
Performance Management.
How could the research identify development opportunities?
The research made an in-depth investigation regarding the process, key elements and
content of the best practice performance management in the U.S. Based on your feedback
we will be able to measure the position of your system to the best practices. The executive
summary will give you an insight into the key findings and recommendations of the
research. On demand, you can get access to your own performance management profile
compared to the best practice performance systems.
Any risks associated with participating in this project?
At every stage your identity will remain confidential. Your name and identifying information
will not be included in the final report. The academic management of this research complies
with the rigid ethics guidelines of the Henley Business School/University of Reading. Prior to
the interview a confidentiality agreement will be singed-off by both parties.
