1. Owner Benefits
When a problem arises on a project, either the design team, the construction team, or both, are
necessarily responsible for having done something wrong. You can be certain that you did not
“own it wrong.” Nonetheless, you can also be certain that it is you, the owner, who your team will
look to for the cost of correction unless you can hold them quickly and categorically responsible for
their performance.
Thus, Government entities (federal, state and local), Educational Facilities, Hospitals, and Developers all derive great benefit
from using Multivista on their projects. Comprehensive and professional documentation of your project during each stage of
construction will result in a better built and more easily and economically managed facility. Owners can expect more effective and
timely communication between project associates, less change orders, higher quality installations, and an exceedingly accurate
as-built. The Multivista information system provides simple to use records which are invaluable for combating inevitable quality
issues, schedule delays, invalidated change orders, voided warranty claims, legal claims and disputes. The Multivista Exact-Built™
system provides an independent third party documentation that keeps your entire construction team accountable and provides for
a more transparent project that ensures you, the owner of the facility, are getting what you paid for. We accomplish this by offering
the following project services.
Site Survey Exact-Built™
Comprehensive documentation of all
surrounding streets, curbs, sidewalks,
landscaping, parking areas, existing structures
and neighboring facilities:
A perfect memory of all pre-existing
conditions prior to the start of construction.
Should you have issues regarding
damage of your facility, or a neighbor
or municipality claims you caused damage,
you will have third party date-stamped
images which prove the pre-existing
conditions;
An ongoing insurance policy for the owner.

Interior and
Exterior Progressions
“Progression” sets are undertaken at pre-
determined intervals throughout the duration
of construction to broadly document all
interior and exterior progress as well as
substantial details of the construction
over time:
Discover and prove schedule delays, verify
construction according to plans and
specifications, check on the materials
being used, assure the quality installation of
your systems, and investigate code issues;
Save on time and travel by enabling a remote
walk-thru of the ongoing project;
Allow for the architect, engineers, scheduling
and other consultants, vendors, etc. to view the
project 24x7. These firms typically charge for
each site visit. Our service allows them
to virtually walk the job remotely without the
owner having to pay for it. When site visits
are nonetheless necessary, remote diagnosis
of problem allow the right remedial team to be
assembled the first time and saves the Owner
the expense of multiple trips;
Powerful collaboration tool for team members to
conduct “virtual” QA/QC meetings. Lends
itself to better communication/collaboration
by identifying problems and issues before they
happen, enables back checking of materials
used, change order verification, and the
monitoring of deficiencies and final touch-ups;
Mitigate future risk. Quickly and remotely verify
if a discovered problem is a systemic or an
isolated issue. Negates the traditional need for
destructive verification.
Pre-Slab Exact-Built™
Comprehensive documentation of the MEP
systems (mechanical / electrical / plumbing) and
structural components of each slab just prior to
the placing of the concrete:
If a slab or parking deck develops substantial
cracks or fails, then why? This Exact Built™
serves as a “virtual x-ray” for comparing the as-
built conditions with the engineered drawings
and to determine if other structures might fail
as well. Is there a systemic problem or is this
an isolated issue? Negates the traditional need
for more invasive and expensive forensic analysis.
Coring slabs in order to accommodate late stage
changes, missing or wrongly placed items, and
for any future renovations or expansions, it is
vital to know exactly where everything is inside the
slab to avoid damaging any of the MEP systems or
compromising the structural integrity.

MEP Exact-Built™
A complete documentation of the MEP systems
within every wall and ceiling just prior to
covering:
Most facility managers tell us that the as-built
drawings are inaccurate, not available at the
time of building start-up, or missing completely.
Having your facilities and operations
management team work blindly could be an
extremely expensive situation for you. We have
had clients hit critical systems in their walls,
floors, and ceilings because of inaccurate as-
builts that have caused hundreds of thousands
of dollars in damages;
Multivista provides the equivalent of x-ray
vision. This is accomplished through a complete
documentation of the MEP systems within every
wall and ceiling immediately before covering
with insulation or drywall;
When doing a renovation, contractors typically
add at least a 5% premium to protect
themselves against unforeseen conditions. You
the owner are paying this premium. The
Multivista Exact-Built™ system virtually
eliminates all of these unforeseen conditions,
which will most likely save you between 2-5% on
all future renovations and expansions;
Owners are grappling with the most litigious
environment in decades. On certain project-
types, particularly those where the ownership
will transfer at build-out to either one or more
new owners (i.e., residential condominiums),
litigation is almost a foregone conclusion.
Multivista Exact-Built™ technology allows
claims of systemic latent defects to be
immediately disproven without the cost of
destructive testing or expensive litigation
and undermines “sample”-based
class-action lawsuits.
Elevation Exact-Built™
A multi stage custom documentation designed to capture the entire
exterior elevations at various stages of system application:
Building envelope consultants normally take a sampling of photos designed
to show the system used, typically 1-5% of windows, doors, and exterior
waterproofing. If a problem develops, this means there is a 95-99% chance
there is no documentation covering the specific area. Elevation Exact-
Builts™ invert that ratio, affording far greater protection;
Water problems are usually traced back to an isolated area of improper
surface preparation, improper application/ installation, window failure and/
or improper flashing and sealing – not to the system itself. Thus, pre-
selected “multi-point” audits are insufficient. You need a truly
comprehensive record. Multivista provides that;
Absent Multivista, you would have to perform destructive verification that
may include the entire exterior system.

Finished Interior
Exact-Built™
A final documentation of the project around
the time of completion or just prior to turnover
or occupancy. All floor surfaces, walls, and
ceilings are documented so that you have
a complete record of the condition of the
facility at completion. Can be expanded to
also include components such as the finished
exterior elevations, roof, and landscaping:
This will help you with warranty issues,
outstanding punch list items, proof of project
not being complete and the ability to eliminate
finger pointing on who did what and what was
not complete by the finished date;
Combined with the other shoots in your
Multivista portfolio, this is the ultimate close-
out deliverable. No other close-out document,
as-built or report will provide you with the critical
information you need as quickly, accurately and
easily as the Multivista system.
Slideshows
Slideshows – Sets of images which are a part of the documentation but
not linked to any of the specific architectural drawings:
Can be used as a standalone Executive summary of your project in less
than 100 photos.
Option to make that portion of the documentation public. A great PR tool
which allows the community to see how your project is coming along;
Allows lenders, consultants, committees and executives to quickly see
the overall state of construction inside and outside the project – excellent
for material delivery verification, pay application verification and
internal reviews;
Repository for any images which do not fit neatly into the regular
documentation paths but are still important to capture when observed.
Recognizing that information is most useful when it can be found in one
easy to find place, these are also used to house aerial photos, client-
supplied photos, specific quality issues, safety concerns, etc.
Summary
In today’s market, several general contractors and subcontractors are being extremely aggressive with their pricing to win work.
That’s great for our owner clients, but who is going to make sure everything that was specified and every dollar that was spent is
being installed properly on your project? You are saving 20% on most construction jobs today, why would you not add a fraction of a
percent back into the job to make sure that everyone is accountable and that the project is more transparent from beginning to end?
Remember, most projects only have a one or two year warranty. Most shoddy construction problems will not become evident until
well after that time. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a verifiable photograph that clearly shows any faulty installations to help you remediate
those issues down the road? That is what we do for our clients. We provide a perfect memory of where, how and when something was
installed, built and delivered.
