- When you start integration the Enterprise Complexity can go up exponentially. Many changes will be needed, and depending on what you have already done in the rest of the organization major changes may be required to People, Process and Technology across all of the organizations above. - Consider the decision, how do you make them, what have you done, where are you going…Problem is now you are changing your Foundation when you change the network…so do you try and adjust your new foundation based on decisions you have made? - This slides illustrates the stages to move an existing network to an autonomous network Existing Network – Individual Device Management Network Centric – APIC managed devices with policies that parallel and existing network (VLAN to ACI Endpoint Group) Network Centric with Automation – APIC Managed Network using automation tools like Cloud Center Policy Centric – Network is structured according to application groupings with a “Whitelist Security Policy” Autonomous Network – The network is monitored for adherence to security policies using analytics systems. Policy violations are resolved using automation tools without intervention by operators. Customers can move to the ultimate goal of an autonomous network or they can “exit” at any point.
