Tripp Rackley's partnership with Cox has led to several innovative technology startups. It also launched a subscription service called INWEGO that offers unlimited access to games and live events in Atlanta for a monthly fee. Ground-Up Innovation Multiple Startups
1. Innovation from
the Ground Up
Cox’s partnership with entrepreneur and Cox board member
Tripp Rackley has already led to several innovative technology
startups that are growing into high-value companies.
Multiple startups become the next generation of technology companies
There’s Nothing Like Live
Experience, the partnership’s first
investment, launched in 2012 and was
acquired by Cox in 2014. This award-
winning platform introduced mobile
commerce, ticket sales software and
data solutions to the live sports and
entertainment market. Millions of fans now
personalize live events through Experience
technology by upgrading their seats;
purchasing experiences during live events;
and accessing monthly or partial-season
ticket plans, voucher plans and last-minute
tickets using their mobile device. Experience
has relationships with more than 300 global
properties including Georgia Tech and
the Atlanta Hawks, Braves and Falcons.

Upgraded Access
In September 2016, Experience introduced
a first-of-its-kind subscription product called
INWEGO. The service, currently being piloted
in Atlanta, offers subscribers unlimited
access to games and live events throughout
the metro area — from tickets to a major pro
or college game to access to annual golf and
racing events nearby — all for one monthly
fee. Learn more at inwego.com.
The Perfect Car
Founded in 2014, Clutch allows members
to drive the perfect car every day through
a monthly subscription service. Going on a
weekend adventure or to a black-tie event?
Drivers can simply request their next vehicle
using the Clutch app and specify when and
where they would like it to be delivered.
This unique on-demand service, which is
currently Atlanta-focused, truly breaks away
from the traditional method of car buying.
William Olmstead, senior executive
recruiter, CEI, joined Clutch in June 2015
because of the flexibility, vehicle options
and service the company provides. One
monthly payment covers his car, insurance,
maintenance and repairs, and there’s no
long-term contract, which makes it even
more appealing to him.
“Clutch is changing the face of the
consumer experience for day-to-day vehicle
‘ownership’ and usage,” said William, who
spent years driving leased vehicles before
he discovered Clutch. “They always have a
vehicle to meet my needs at any time.”

Up and Coming
Remedy and Moment are two of the
newer startup companies. Less than a
year old, Remedy ensures that customers
have exceptional experiences, even when
they’re not face-to-face with the brand.
No more feedback forms or situations
where “it’s just not worth it.” When things
go wrong, Remedy offers a digital “easy
button” for customers to voice their issues
and an intelligent lens for brands to “see”
their customers differently and solve their
problems in a personal way — all in a matter
of a few text messages.
Also in the ideation stage, Moment makes it
easy to do nice things for the people around
us, using a simple mobile interface. Want to
congratulate someone? Thank someone? Let
them know you’re thinking about them? With
this technology, it’s never been easier to
act immediately on kind thoughts, creating
effortless joy in everyday life.
Growth on the Horizon
“We follow several guiding principles to
determine the ideas we work on,” said Tripp
Rackley, CEO at Kenzie Lane Innovation and
Cox board member. “We start with a hyper-
focus on ‘The Consumer First’ to understand
how we fundamentally solve a problem.
Second, the technology we develop must
be patentable, meaning no one else can do
it before we do. Third, we operate by the
Rule of 3/7. We only build companies that
need at least three years to take hold, but no
more than seven to develop into an entirely
new industry. And finally, our ideas must
be complex enough that we’re not always
sure we can solve the problem, which is a
challenge we love. By staying focused on
these benchmarks, we continue to build a
culture of creativity and innovation.”
