third-party insurance administrator in Hanover, Massachusetts. A strong believer in
philanthropy, William Deyesso has committed himself to charitable giving and has
donated to the Special Olympics, which recently participated in Annual Capitol Hill Day.
3. Special Olympics Participates in Annual Capitol

The Special Olympics organization participated in the 15th Annual Capitol Hill Day on
February 15, 2017. Athletes from the group organized over 250 meetings with Congress
members to advocate for expansion of Special Olympics Unified Sports, a program that
places individuals with and without disabilities on the same teams.

Special Olympics athletes also sought help from Congress members in efforts to grow
Unified Champion Schools programming and end discrimination against individuals with
intellectual disabilities. Also participating in the event was Betsy DeVos, U.S. Secretary of
Education, who demonstrated her commitment to partnering with the Special Olympics to
make schools more inclusive and grow Unified Champion Schools programming.
