Organisational and Administrative:
• I am capable of accomplishing a great deal via my own workplace autonomy, liaising with individuals and
outside agencies (via appropriate memos, face-to-face or e-mail contact) as necessary to attain a desired
result. All in addition to providing information and assistance to customers.
• As a member of the teaching staff – albeit in a support capacity – I have helped other staff to plan activities
for both indoor and outdoor settings, taking into account factors such as time restraints, health and safety of
pupils, available staff and their specific skills, necessary resource requirements and responding to any
emerging problems with our own initiative.
Written and Verbal Communication:
• All essays, projects and presentations contributing to my degree studies required in-depth research
concerning multiple sources, including libraries, interviews, journal publications and databases. I conducted
close analysis of texts and expressed critical opinions in concise, academic terms, paying close attention to
proper citations.
• Any disputes or incidents that I encounter during school hours may have to be resolved using my own
initiative, requiring that I diffuse any such incidents with fair and proper professional conduct.
• My duties as a support teacher in the classroom means having to be aware of pupils' idiosyncratic needs and
how best to convey and explain new concepts, so that they might more easily reach their learning potential.
• I possess excellent diction and clarity of speech.
Leadership and Teamwork:
• As a support teacher, clear communication, relaying of pertinent information and attendance of regular staff
meetings were essential to ensuring a safe and focused learning environment.
• Use of my own initiative and creativity have been key during situations both in the workplace (such as a
sudden crisis, development or customer concern that required immediate attention) and on school grounds
(instances where I was the most senior member of staff presiding over a class).
Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills:
• Communicating with people from other professional bodies, as well as concerned parents, has given me
confidence in my negotiation skills through situations that required patience, respecting cultural differences
and negotiating to resolve situations, convey important information or acquire things needed at the time.
• My post-graduate education has given me knowledge and understanding of educational policies, legislation
and practices including safeguarding, health & safety, behavioural theories and scaffolding strategies.
Personal & Hobbies:
• I am an avid reader and greatly enjoy conversing with others about their favourite films, books, television
shows etc. I enjoy sampling storytelling across multiple mediums, as well as writing for my own pleasure.
In addition, I have a fondness for photography, cooking (I am something of an enthusiastic amateur), walking
and martial arts.
• I am currently attempting to pursue classes in sign language, archery and rock climbing.
