PANAMA
Panama is the southernmost country in
Central America, bordered by Costa Rica
to the west, Colombia to the Southeast,
the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean to the
north and south, which are connected by
the Panama Canal. Over 3 million people
live in Panama where the official language
is Spanish. Panamanians live in a tropical
maritime climate with a long wet season
and short dry season. In 2011 GDP was
estimated at $50.61 billion. Major
industries include construction, brewing,
sugar milling, cement and other
construction materials.

2. STUDENT DELEGATION
Mallory Robinson is a
senior at North Carolina
State University where
she is pursuing a Bachelor
of Science in Fashion and
Textile Management with
a concentration in Fashion
Development and Product
Management. She has a
minor in Spanish and
Business Administration
and is in the University
Scholars Program. In
2011 she completed a summer study abroad
program in Costa Rica. She has also
participated in NC State Fashion Week, the
AATS Fashion Expose, and Couture for a
Cause. She is currently working as Technical
Design and Product Development Assistant at
Linda Hartman. After graduation, she plans to

Lauren Stentz is a graduate student at
North Carolina State University pursuing a
Master of Science in Textile Technology
Management. Her
research interests are in
textile and apparel
product development.
Lauren received a
Bachelor of Science in
Textiles, Apparel, and
Merchandising,
concentrating in Apparel
Design, with a minor in
Business Administration
from Louisiana State
University in 2008. In
2007, Lauren participated in a textiles and
apparel field study in China visiting Shanghai
and Beijing. Lauren worked for Kohl’s for
three years in store management, and is
currently the production and operations intern

Allison Tate is a graduate student at North
Carolina State University. She is pursuing a
Master of Science in Textile Technology
Management and is interested in product
development and design focusing her
research in digital printing. Allison earned her
Bachelor of Science in Fashion and Textile
Management from North Carolina State
University, where she
graduated Cum Laude in
2011. In the Spring of
2010, Allison spent the
semester in Perth, Western
Australia. Her work
experience includes
undergraduate internship at
Spoonflower, sales
associate positions, and
her current position on the
marketing team at
Spoonflower.

Will Taylor is a senior in Retail and Supply
Chain Management. He spent his most recent
summer as an intern for Polo Ralph Lauren,
around the Raleigh and Greensboro area,
where he worked with the Retail Development
team. The Retail Development dealt with
merchandising new product lines, tracking
sales, building presentations, and learning the
vendor side of the retail world. Last semester
he worked on a presentation for Cotton
Incorporation dealing with the production of a
new flame
resistant
glove.
Currently,
he works
as a rep
and sales
associate
for
Vineyard
Vines at
Belk. He is
president of the Surf Club
and has had experience leading group
meetings, planning trips, and working on print
media. Will is interested in marketing,
merchandising, and supply chain functions.

Emily-Rose Walch is senior
at North Carolina State
University pursuing a Bachelors
of Science in Fashion and
Textile Management with a concentration in
Brand Management and Marketing. As a
Centennial Scholar, she has been extremely
active in the College of Textiles serving as
president of Sigma Tau Sigma honors society,
vice president of Kappa Tau Beta leadership
fraternity, and Communications Chair of the
departmental Student Advisory Board. In
2011, she completed her Spring semester at
the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University
Institute of Textiles and
Clothing in Kowloon,
Hong Kong. She has held
numerous retail positions,
and spent her 2012
summer interning with
Mast Global with the
Victoria’s Secret Pink
Apparel Production and
Sourcing team.

DELEGATION LEADERS
William D. Harazin (Co-Delegation
Leader) is a principal in the law firm of
William D. Harazin, PLLC and an Adjunct
Associate Professor in the College of Textiles
at NC State University in Raleigh, North
Carolina. He practices in the areas of
Business, Corporate and International Law
providing legal services to businesses, large
and small. His international involvement
includes being a member of the North
Carolina District Export Council, the former
Chairman of the Board for the World Trade
Center North Carolina and past President of
the North Carolina World Trade Association
He is a past Chairman of the International
Law and Practice Section of the North
Carolina Bar Association, the 2009 Recipient
of the NCBA’s International Law & Practice
Section John J. Dortch International Service
Award and a 2006 member of the US Foreign
Service Selection Board. He is a law
graduate of Southern Illinois University School
of Law and a graduate of Illinois State
