name to promote one’s online individuality to Indians worldwide.
But it goes way beyond and boosts a sense of belongingness towards our ‘des’
and its colourful culture!

dotdesi wanted to do something special that captured the
spirit of #BeingDesi
Thence #ProudDesi was born!
A movement that aimed to celebrate the spirit of
oneness, #ProudDesi made Indians from all over the
world sing the national anthem
4. Our Aim
The objectives of the campaign were:-
1. Connect Indians from all over the world
2. Evoke a sense of patriotism among the target
audience
3. Highlight the global nature the Indian community
4. Enhance brand engagement
5. Being The Global Desi
Invoking the spirit of being a global desi, the campaign was
launched in three phases:
1. Campaign Teaser
2. Call for Entries
3. Video Promotion

A series of teaser posters were created to develop a buzz
All the posters were then shared on all dotdesi social media profiles

8. The Desi Calling: Call for Entries
1. The global desis were asked to simply comment on the posts and participate.
2. Successive posters were shared on the social profiles to create a sense of
urgency and inquisitiveness among the desis.
3. Over a period of almost 10-12 days, the team got in touch with every Indian
who was inspired to participate.

The final version of the #ProudDesi video was
promoted for four days among all the
fabulous global desis.
The response was simply mind-blowing!

13. How Did The Desis React?
The community’s response to the whole campaign left us awestruck! Love
flowed from across boundaries.
Not only sentiments but also reach of the campaign was at its peak. Even Papa
CJ, one of Asia’s best stand-up comedians and a #ProudDesi at heart, joined
the Desi league and sang his heart out!
