The original photo showed dull greens and shadows that blended together, but the editor changed the colors to make the leaves appear more autumn-like and the lily pads and reflection in the water stand out more clearly. First, hue and saturation were adjusted to give the leaves and lily pads a reddish tinge and intensify colors. Then, brightness and contrast were increased, making the reflection sharper and the trees and bushes more distinct. These edits enhanced the visual appeal and details in the photo.
2. When editing this picture I wanted to give it a more of an interesting
look, the original copy of the picture is a mix of all the same greens
and dull shadowing but when editing I was able to change the
colouring of the leaves, making it look more autumny and eye
catching.
I also wanted the water and the reflection in the water to stand out
more, again with the water the colour was quite dull and all the lily
pads just blend into the water, hardly noticeable. Although the
reflection was quite clear in the water I did want to it to stand out a
little more as with my photography that was my intention.
3. First I changed the Hue and Saturation of the image, Hue referring to the
tone of the colours in the image and Saturation the intensity of a selected
colour and how much grey the colour contains. This made the leaves on the
trees slightly more red while still keeping the greens visible. It also made
the lily pads stand out more on the water as they were also given a red
tinge. Here the reflection in the water did start to stand out a little more.
4. After I had changed the Hue and Saturation of the image, I changed the
brightness slightly and the contrast. This is what made the reflection
stand out more on the water, it also made the trees and bushes more
edgy and eye catching. Changing the contrast of the image made each
thing in the picture stand out
