Use of text: BBC 2 ident

Brief description: You don’t see the actual channel for the first few seconds. This ident features flying cars,
What do you see? futuristic buildings and other forms of transport. You then see the ‘2’ which represents BBC 2,
the logo spins around showing many ‘2’s and zooming out to show the setting of the previous
scene, this carries on spinning and then slows down showing a window in the shape on a 2,
you see the scenes with the flying cars from the beginning of the ident, this stays on screen for
a few seconds before it ends.
Techniques used: This whole ident has been animated; none of the things seen on the ident are real. The colours
Animation, Visual Effects, Colour Rendering, used are quite grey and not very striking.
Graphics, Movement
Advanced techniques: Rotation is used in this ident when the wheel begins to spin showing all the 2’s; this part of the
Blur, Sharpen, Distortion, Rotation, Opacity ident is also blurred to add extra effect. The images seen are quite sharp and clear.
Technical comments: The resolution is 240 × 240 pixels.
Video Format, Screen Ratio, Resolution, The video format is in HD because its shows everything clearly and all the animation and
Frame rate, Compression graphics are very high.
