“Conferences series” 2009:
“Jornada”: ERP: Tendencies.
Successful debate about the evolution of ERP tools.
Last February 5th
, the “Management Software Group of the La Salle Graduate Student
Association”- Universitat Ramón Llull”, hosted a “Jornada” about ERP tools, its
tendencies and evolution and its further influences, an event of the 2009 Conferences
series.
With a great participation, the event has been taken in charge by Luis Carrasco from
Delphin Project Hunting and the Management Software Group of the Graduate
Student Association.
Software Management Group
Walter Rossi handled the beginning of the
conference, representing the Software
Management Group, and giving the
opportunity to know more about its mandate and
enhancing the importance of Continuous
Education, Professional Development and the
Networking witch mainly supports these initiatives.
Later, aiming to achieve the objective of sharing
common interests about information systems, the
activities realized by the group during the year
2008 were mentioned, as well as the ones that
are scheduled for the year 2009.

2. Delphin Project Hunting
On the other hand, Luis Carrasco, Delphin
Project Hunting Manager, introduced for
his debate the new tendencies, which gowned up
to a higher accuracy level, are brought in the
business management applications. The
conference presented the tendencies trough
several topics as:
Dynamic user Interface, Paradigms of the Web
2.0 (Facebook, Google Maps, YouTube,
Wikipedia, Etc.), Financials Solutions in TIC in its
actual context, Systems settings blow up and
maintenance reduction, Integration of BPM tools
and Architectures focused to SOA Services.
- Development Platforms upon demand, SaaS
and Cloud Computing, Free Software.
These tendencies were also put forward from the
perspective impact following these 3 levels:
-User
-Total Property Cost Price - TCO
-Relation and Business Negotiation Models.
Finally, the conference ended with a debate
between the lecturer and the audience that
showed up the success of the event.
