Jane Winters, Karin de Wild, Niels Brügger, Valérie Schafer, Sally Chambers, Susan Aasman, Sharon Healy
2. The aim of Working Group 6 is to initiate discussions about
if/how the WARCnet network can/shall continue after 2022/23.
Scenario’s:
1. Can we sustain the network without (full) funding?
2. Can we find funding to keep the Network active?
3. Scenario 1:
Sustaining the Network without funding
Look into existing models for non-funded networks.
First ideas:
• Management committee (around 8 people, both Web archivists and researchers);
• International advisory board;
• Two committee meetings a year (one during RESAW);
• Preference for a new WARCnet website;
• Annual fees for members?
(These can for example be used for key notes for the network.)
• There will be no longer a reimbursement for travel and accommodation.
4. Next steps:

5. Scenario 2:
Keeping the Network active with funding
Look into funding opportunities.

Humanities (RI-STAR), April 2022 (submitted)
Sally and Niels
• COSTaction, October 2022
Sally (in collaboration with WG6 members)
• NIAS / Lorentz program (workshops), September 2022
Susan, Karin and Anne
• National networking schemes
Susan, Karin and Kees (the Netherlands)
6. Next steps:
Keeping the Network active with funding
Ask research offices in Universities in various countries if there are opportunities for
network grants.
Please let us know about funding opportunities or if you like to apply for funding.
