Yug Sanskriti Nyas (YSN) is a public, charitable trust registered in India
since 2008. Our mission is to strengthen community-led development
initiatives to achieve positive social, economic, and environmental change
across the nation. We envision every person empowered to lead a more
secure, prosperous, and dignified life at every corner of India. Developing
villages and marginalised slums are our priority intervention locations
along with disaster affected settlements.
We have linkages with nearly 200 Institutions to deliver our programmes
on the ground to achieve inclusive growth and sustainable development
for all.YSN has well developed systems and policies, a robust institutional
mechanism to support its programme from its national office at New
Delhi. YSN complies with all statutory requirements in a timely and
transparent manner.

3. Our Initiatives
• Yug Sanskriti Nyas is a Non-Profit Organization in Central
Delhi, working day and night with utmost vigilance and
dedicated purpose of serving mankind. We feel honored in
improving so many lives through our endeavors and shall
strive to continue working in more diverse areas of social
development. It is through the collective efforts that we
have managed to pull off so many drives and events in the
nation’s welfare since our establishment in 2008. Mr.
Dharambir Acharaya, our trusty and founder serves with his
dedicated team throughout the year in all emergencies and
social aid programs with the motive to reach out to the
maximum disadvantaged and needy population of our
country.

4. Founder Message
• With our team, We established Yug Sanskriti Nyas (YSN) in 2008. The main aim was
continuity in the interest of living beings. Social service has played an important role in my
thoughts and my work style. We believe that it is necessary to modernize the techniques
and methods of social service but it should be youth friendly also. In today’s time, Trust is a
thought, a milestone of culture, bridge between aged and youth, between culture and
society, between yesterday and tomorrow. The purpose is to make aware the people about
the golden culture of past, so that they also understand their responsibilities and get
involved more and more. We have known from our glorious past that social welfare
services remained in nature and culture of everyone. We have full faith that collective
efforts by the team in a planned manner for social service will be successful and more
effective.

In the past years, we have faced various natural calamities, the result of which has been
very sad and painful. We would like to salute to all those who made an incomparable
contribution in this journey of the Trust. Whenever there was a trouble in the nation and
society, we deployed our services with our courageous, skilled and dynamic teams where
support & direction of likeminded people make it more significant. For the welfare and well
being of every individual, we with our courageous teams engaged in the field of education,
health, medicine, environment, women empowerment, self-reliance, disaster
management, and rural development.

5. Poshan - Feed India Drive
• YSN provides the right channels to solve hunger locally at the time of
disaster with its Rapid Response Team (RRT). We are committed to
challenge all odds against hunger/malnutrition and ensuring food
security to the disaster affected population Under Poshan, we serve
nutritious meal and dry ration to the people after having exposure to
some disaster like COVID-19, Cyclone, Fire, Flood and others who are
facing some kind of distress. During COVID-19 pandemic, we provided
free cooked meals to over 12000 people per day across various locations
of Delhi including the attendants of patients admitted in AIIMS,
Safdarjung hospital. We had 32 food distribution centres in Delhi itself.
Meals were also served to migrant labourer in association with Delhi
Govt and Indian Rail while they were traveling back home.
• Distribution of dry ration to the Flood affected population is another
important strategy to fight food insecurity and hunger. Zomato, Indigo,
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, National Service, Scheme,, Indian Rail
played a significant role in supporting us in our drive. During the Slums
Fire Disaster of Delhi 2021 at Okhla and Jamaia, we were given the
opportunity to provide Poshan to the fire victims. Likewise, we duing
YAAS 2021, our volunteers distributed dry ration in West Bengal and
Odisha.

6. Machaan - Flood Relief
Drive
• Machaan as Watch Tower works for the relief and rehabilitation of four
major disasters currently India is facing:- COVID-19, Flood, Cyclone and
Fire. Under the strategic guidance of Mr. Sanjay Kumar (Ex-DG of
NDRF), Yug Sanskriti Nyas provides quick relief measures in terms of
food, safe drinking water, clothing and temporary shelter. In the wake,
in flood-affected areas for many years’ through ‘Flood Relief Drive, our
dedicated team and volunteers worked day and night to serve the
people of Bihar and Assam.
• In utmost coordination with the local administration, YSN succeeded in
providing shelter and distributing an array of support, daily needs and
health & sanitary accessories to victims of Fire and Cyclone at Delhi,
West Bengal and Odisha. Community kitchens were set up at RK
Puram Delhi to serve more than 12,000 people every day during the
first Phase of COVID-19. Every summer incidence of Fire in the slums
people need our helping hands. We extended our emotional and
physical support to the people for their survival at Okhla and Jamia
Nagar, Delhi fire of 2021.

7. Kislaya - Talent India Drive
• The motive of right to education and transforming every child into
human capital, Yug Sanskriti Nyas is continuously engaged into
providing education and basic life skills through its ‘Talent India
Drive’. It is directed with giving special attention to kids and youth
from under-served areas bubbled with marginalised and
impoverished localities. In the line YSN set up learning centers for
kids and young children at Vasant kunj,Vashali Vihar.
• The pandemic has severely affected the education sector as all the
schools and colleges shut down. At the time, YSN provided study
material kits to the children from the marginalized communities in
Delhi-NCR region. YSN arranged special educational sessions in
Mukharjee Nagar, Nandlal Basti, Gopalpur and other places and this
have become the one of the major initiative to provide education to
all with focus on deprived, marginalised and migrant worker’s
children. In the mission YSN has collaboration with many educational
institutions and organization also to work collectively on education
for all.

8. Sehat - Healthy India Drive
• According to WHO, disease free and healthy way of living helps
individual to enjoy the happy life. Supporting the government
mission of health and wellness for every individual, Yug Sanskriti
Nyas is working for promotive and preventive care other than
support services for curative care through ‘Healthy India Drive’. YSN
has worked for TB patients, people with leprosy, aged people and old
age home. YSN is working on community health and wellness
strategy with supporting government agenda to provide
comprehensive range of services spanning preventive, promotive,
curative, rehabilitative and palliative care to every citizen. The YSN
continuously organizes health camps, yoga and meditation sessions
to sensitize and aware the people.
• During the second wave of COVID pandemic, YSN with a pooled team
of doctors actively worked day and night to save the life of our
various life support systems ranging from 24*7 helpline, telemedicine
to ambulance services; free oxygen cylinder, concentrator, necessary
medicines and Covid care kits are well known.

9. Gramya - Rural Empowerment
• Addressing the process of rural empowerment, a higher level of
programme and policy coherence between the desired development
path and agriculture, food security and nutrition policies remained
need of the time. Yug Sanskriti Nyas through its ‘Rural Empowerment
Drive’ envisages an overall development of villages on their socio-
economic, cultural and environmental aspects. YSN is continuously
working with rural people through micro credit, training and skill
enhancement activities, distribution of sewing machine, Samakhya
Gaon to promote the motive of rural empowerment. Amrit Krishi at
present is one of the important strategies of YSN to support and
promote farmers for better return from organic farming.
• This project is supporting tribes and marginal farmers to cultivate
organic products at Chakulia of Jharkhand state. YSN is assisting from
cultivation to harvesting, procurement and selling of their produce at
a good price. YSN is pushing the idea of self reliant, supporting rural
development through various strategies and widening for holistic
development of rural people in the villages of India.

10. Maatri - Women
Empowerment
• Supporting United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals to promote
women empowerment eliminate violence and achieve gender equality in
every sphere of development. Yug Sanskriti Nyas is actively engaged in
supporting the women and girls through its ‘Women Empowerment
Drive’. Our organizational events and activities are intended to spread
awareness and sensitization at community level. YSN recognizes the role
and contribution of women in the society and provide support, reward
and facilitates time to time. In the series, their transforming works in
different fields are highly recognized and facilitated on 25 March 2021 at
the Constitutional Club of India, Delhi.
• We are also working for their reproductive right to health and hygiene to
keep them healthy and empowered. YSN is committed to push forward
and promoting every girl & woman to progress on social, economic to
political sphere of life and live with dignity in the society. YSN is also
working through various initiative started and promoted by various
department and ministries across the country.

11. Poshaak - Wear India Drive
• Amidst the burden of vulnerability and underprivileged, the necessity
to provide clean clothes to the under-privileged stands among YSN
important priorities. Our attempts under the initiative of Wear India
Drive, is to collect old and new clean clothes from residences across
various locations and provide them to the people living roadside,
destitute and not capable of buying or arrange cloths. Through Wear
India Drive, our Poshaak team and volunteers collect cloths for every
season and distribute it to the needy. Recently YSN team distributed
saris and kits of menstrual hygiene to help the special needs of
afflicted women during the fire disaster at Tughlakabad. YSN team
usually distributes warm cloths and blankets to the disadvantaged
during chilly winters in various location of Delhi-NCR.
• Through such initiatives, the organization aimed to continue to
provide necessary cloths required for destitute, living road side,
railway tracks, abandoned people to cover their body and keep safe
from the harmful weather to make them smiling.

12. Chhaon - Care India Drive
• Currently, there are 104 million aged populations in the country.
With the changing population and economic employment
dynamics, the young and adult people are living at the place of
work but the aged parents are left behind and are complelled to
living alone and face a bunch of challenges for everyday life to
bear loneliness and deserted. Left behind parents needs social
support and care. It is important to bring them together to fed
there loneliness and spread smile and happiness. Keeping in mind
for wellbeing of aged, Yug Sanskriti Nyas act as a catalyst of
change in bridging the gap between generations and ensuring
respectful and comfortable life for old people in urban areas of
Delhi NCR. With well trained team and volunteers, Chhaon is an
initiative to provide support and make aged people happy through
providing a range of services from social support to healthy well
being of every aged in the designated areas.

13. Parivesh
• With unequal development and unprecedented exploitation has push
the chaotic situation before everyone and one among them is
environmental degradation and changing climate. It is everyone prime
responsibilities to protect the environment around us to maintain green
and clean environment for green and safe future for coming generations.
With this motive Yug Sanskriti Nyas come forward with Parivesh to
protect our environment. Parivesh is functional with developing green
environment in urban areas including urban forestation in many parts of
the country. Yug Sanskriti Nyas with the trained tem and a pool of
volunteers is working tirelessly to preserve, protect the environment and
forest under the leadership of V.K. Singh (Former Principle Chief
Conservator Forest) has come forward with positive change. Yug
Sanskriti Nyas is generating environmental awareness among the
masses, encourage and empower the youth to take green action and
create the necessary platforms Many organisations is supporting in
palpitation drive and other related measures.
