The market extended previous day's losses, with the Nifty closing below 10,100 levels
for the first time since December 2017. Major support and resistance levels are 9900
and 10470 respectively.

6. The battle to acquire Binani Cement promoters Binani Industries has approached
Ultratech Cement to purchase Binani's equity shareholding in the company through a
shares sale and purchase agreement in return of funds to pay off the debtors to the
company.
Ultratech has in-principle agreed to purchase 98.47 % of the shareholding of Binani
Cement, subject to termination of IBC proceedings, entering into definitive
agreement, and other customary and regulatory approvals .
Binani Industries that is seeking the termination of insolvency proceedings against its
cement company has also requested Ultratech to issue it a letter of comfort that will
support their application seeking termination of the IBC proceedings.
