1. My Job Profile – Vineet Gambhir
My name is Vineet Gambhir. I have done Associate Degree in IT from DonnellyCollege, KS, USA. I had stayed
in US for more than 8 years with my family. After moving back to India in Sept 2009, I did MCTS (Microsoft
Certified TechnologySpecialist) & CCNA(Cisco Certified Network Associate) from NIIT .
I have total 4 ½ years in Hospitality& 1 year in TelecomIndustry. I started mycareerin2009 with Sarovar Group
of Hotels, Corp. Office,NewDelhi as an ‘EDP Trainee’. Mytraining went on for 6 months and latter I was shifted
to a unit, hotel HometelHarinagar,an85room property at NewDelhi,as an Executive EDP Trainee,whereI was
the part of a preopeningteam.Iplayed a very importantrole in setting up of the IT & Telecom infrastructure with
regard to hardware, software, Wi-Fi, network installation and implementation of PMS (Property Management
Software). My training period in the first unit hotel was for 3 months.
After completing my training, I was transferred to another unit of Sarovar Hotels. It was in Green Park, near
AIIMS, a 50 room property, as an IT HEAD. I worked there for more than 1 ½ years. I was part of preopening
team and solely responsible for setting up of IT infrastructure, i.e. installation of Hardware, Networking &
Software & Implementation of PMS (Property Management Software). This gave me enough exposure and
knowledge about hotel IT & telecom infrastructure, CAPEX, OPEX & SLA’s.
In May2012, I joinedCCPL(ClassConsultingPvt. Ltd.), a hotelmanagementcompany,whereI worked for more
than a year as Corporate IT. I was responsible for setting up of IT Dept. & overseeing the installation of IT &
Telecom infrastructure for the existing and upcoming hotels of the company(Class Elite, Sector – 29, Gurgaon
& The Theme Jaipur, Jaipur) being managed byClass Consulting Pvt. Ltd.
In August 2013, I joined Svelte Hotel & Personal Suites, an 82 room all Suite propertyas Head of IT. At Svelte, I
got hands on experience on how to use Windows Server 2003 & 2008, as in my 1st hotel I have worked with
WindowsServer 2008and in my2nd hotel I have workedon Windows Server 2003 and also on Active Directory. I
have worked withRAID in the servers. I have knowledgeabouthowto apply IT policiesonusermachines. I have
profoundknowledge of Windows XP (SP1, SP2 & SP3), Windows 7 (All Editions) & Windows 8 (All Editions). OS
can be installed on multiple machines using Norton Ghost.
Presently, I am workingwithHimachal Futuristic CommunicationLimited(HFCL),GurgaonasAssistant Manager
IT in Network Deployment.

Operating System: Have hands on experience on how to use Windows Server 2003 &
2008, as in my 1st hotel I have worked with Windows Server 2008 and in my 2nd hotel I
have worked on Windows Server 2003 & also on Active Directory. I have worked with
RAID. I have knowledge about how to applypolicies on user machines. I have profound
knowledge of Windows XP (SP1, SP2 & SP3), Windows 7 (All Editions) & Windows 8 (All
Editions). OS can be installed on multiple machines using Norton Ghost.
Email Server: Have worked on Microsoft Exchange Server & have knowledge on IBM
Lotus, but slowlyits marketis declining. I also have hands on experience of email clients
like Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Live Mail, etc.
Data: SQL, I have basic knowledgeofSQL,as I have workedon IDS andIDS is basedon
SQL and I have used SQL to take backups of PMS data & truncate/delete old data.
PhoneApps usage& functionality: I am passionateaboutvarious mobileOS& knowhow
to support users. Have intermediate knowledge of mobile apps and their value from
business stand and costing.
