Interviews can lead to a great deal of stress and anxiety. Luckily there are a number of things you can do to make the whole interview experience much easier and help increase your chances of landing the job of your dreams.

knowledge in order to secure a position and further
your career.

the best of your ability in any interview.
3. Before the interview
• Have an early night
• Plan your journey and leave enough time to reach your destination
• Know who you’re meeting
• Dress appropriately
• Be clear on the company, name, address and telephone number (in case you need to
contact them to let them know you’re running late)
• Use the knowledge you have gained to match your skills to their requirements
• Review your career history including your accomplishments, strengths and weaknesses
• Be prepared to cite examples of specific accomplishments and how your experience can
assist them
• Look into the interviewer / company on social media
• Prepare some questions to ask
4. During the interview
• Smile, nod and don’t forget about eye contact
• See the interviewer as a client instead of a
potential employer and promote the benefits
you offer.
• Listen
• Go into detail when answering questions
• Ask Questions
• Do NOT raise negative issues relating to your
previous or future employer.
