This document discusses providing high-end software to students remotely through a web-based terminal server solution. The solution allows students to access full-featured software applications like ArcGIS without having to install anything. The applications are run on a terminal server using Remote Desktop and students login to access the software and their data remotely. The solution was implemented at JCTC to provide students, including those in virtual and distance learning courses, access to the software they need to complete assignments from off-campus locations.
