TITLE: AUTOMATION OF BOILER CONTROL USING DCS

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The project is based on controlling whole boiler and food and beverage
section with the help of Distributed control system. This software primarily helps in
eliminating errors due to human interference which aid many power plants to run
uninterrupted for an extended duration of time.
INDUSTRIAL TRANING
• Undergone Implant training in Water Treatment plant, Ambattur, Chennai, for a
period of 3 months and learnt about Reverse Osmosis and Demineralization process.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
• Presented a technical paper titled “AUTOMATION OF BOILER CONTROL
USING DCS” at student’s projects and open house exhibition in 23th august
2013 by our college.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
My job extensively involved panel wiring for Distributed
control system (DCS), Miniature circuited board (MCB) and Programmable logic
control (PLC). During the period of 11 months, I had an opportunity to design a
program (siemens PCS7, version 8.0) for the project (reverse osmosis and
demineralization process).

hands on practical experience in Industrial Automation Tools specializing in PLC,
