Going From Zero to One: Idea to Execution
Since the formation of Highlander Venture Group, the founders were driven by one ideal:
excellence. Excellence in our traits, in our ethics, in our ambitions, and in our contributions to
society. Today we are challenged with presenting this same degree of excellence in the future
of HVG. Demanding nothing but sheer perfection from each other, and the society we aim to
contribute in, we shall move forward with sheer force and unfathomable strength. Collectively
we not only represent ourselves in our endeavors, but also every business and startup in the
Riverside area.
Our goals include offering inexpensive & competitive consulting services to small local
businesses, and then targeting our market segment carefully as we offer specialized services to
firms and mid-level business. Through this, not only will be able to bring together businesses
and Universities into a hub of excitement and knowledge, but we’ll be able to mend the fabric
of Riverside’s businesses. Entrepreneurship is alive and well, but compared to other well
known locations in California, it’s currently in hibernation. Riverside is not Silicon Valley—
and that’s alright, we don’t need Silicon Valley to be successful in our missions. What we need
is individuals who will demand nothing short of excellence. That excellence will in turn
prosper to create a powerful hub of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Our second goal and perhaps our biggest contribution yet is in our Incubator, dubbed the
HVGIncubate. Through extensive financial, business model, and market analysis we will
prepare any startups that apply to our program for the financial responsibilities of a business.
These include managing finances, way to achieve financial stability, bootstrapping vs.
consultancy, and of course how to seek funding from Venture Capitalists/Angel Investors. In
addition, our incubator will serve to fund startups with enough capital to follow short term
projects, and some long term goals.
Board of Directors: Our club will comprise itself of an effective board of directors who will
provide feedback on our day to day activities, our goals, and provide assistance in dealing
with clients. The BoD will take some time to develop as the members may be few in count,
but must be many in excellence, contribution, and experience.
