Vickie Covino. I am currently the Supervisor of the Servicing Carrier department at
Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Company in Columbia, South Carolina.
Vickie has worked for me or I should say worked with me for several years. She was
instrumental in helping develop our fee based workers’ compensation assigned risk plan
business, which accounted for approximately $120 - $130 million in written premium at
that time.
The assigned risk plan business involved some eight to nine different states in which we
became a servicing carrier through a bid process. Each plan had to be implemented based
on a very strict time schedule with very stringent and complex rules. Each plan is audited
annually by either the National Council on Compensation Insurance or another
administrator for that individual plan. We have passed every audit.
Vickie has a great attitude and works well with everyone. She has good communication
skills and is very responsible for ensuring projects are met timely. She is a professional
