5. How do they achieve it?
● System operation
○ Bulk Transfer
■ Transfer blocks for all systems support.
■ Delta transfers after bulk transfer.
○ Interception and Recording (blktap)
● Write Throttling
○ For high write systems, slowing the write operations.
● Wide-area Network Redirection
○ IP-tunneling, redirecting the requests to current network connections.
○ Dynamic DNS for new connections.

● Successful Live Migration.
○ LAN downtime: 3 seconds.
○ WAN downtime: 68 seconds.
■ Better than freeze-and-copy approaches.
● Consistency maintained.
