IHV Mobile Device Requirements
• Operating System: Google Android 4.0 (Ice-Cream Sandwich) or higher
• Application Processors: A number of OMAP, Snapdragon, Hummingbird, and Orion
processors are supported. A complete list will be discussed during due diligence
• RAM: Minimum of 1GB
IHV Integration Requirements for Program
• OEM Enabler Kit: Integrate the OEK into the base operating system
• MVP daemon: Provide APIs necessary to run the service to VMware Switch
application. This service is dormant until VMware Switch is installed and run
on the device
• Kernel modules: Low level hooks to enable virtualization technology, and add, if
necessary, the kernel modules needed to support workspace network stack.
• Android Patches: Integrate patches as required
