Volunteer Action for Change Kenya (VAK Jitolee Afrika) is a non-
governmental, non-political and non-sectarian organization founded with
the aim of offering equal opportunities to the youth, women and the
vulnerable members of the society a chance to be actively involved in the
development process through volunteerism. Since its inception VAK has
continuously given opportunities to both skilled and unskilled volunteers in
community groups within Kenya.

VACK is therefore giving you a Chance to Enhance
Sustainable Development
VACK offers Short Term Voluntary Projects (Workcamps) every month in
collaboration with local community projects here in Kenya usually take a
duration of one to three weeks. We also offer Medium and Long Term
projects around Kenya. These projects can last between one month and one
year. The kind of activities offered by volunteers in these projects may include:
teaching and education development in local community schools (primary or
secondary schools); taking care of orphans in orphanages; promoting
sustainable agriculture and environmental sustainability; organizing sports and
recreational activities for youth; community and social development activities
to support community initiatives; using art as a tool for creating awareness on
emerging issues; communication and fundraising to develop community
structures.
