PROJECT
Bachelor Degree thesis on Petro-physical Analysis of Well Qadirpur 14, Central Indus Basin
Pakistan. The prime objective of thesis is to evaluate the reservoir properties (hydrocarbon
potential ) of the study area (Well Qadirpur 14) with the help of petrophysical techniques by
utilizing well logs. Data of this thesis includes wireline logs which are Gamma ray log,
Resistivity log, Self potential log, Density log and Neutron log.
Methodology includes the proper checking of given logs and then marking zone of interest
for our study. There are two zones of interests marked in the given data and formation is Sui

2. Main Limestone. Volume of shale is calculated with the help of gamma ray log. Porosity is
calculated with the help of Neutron, Density log. Resistivity of water is calculated by Resistivity
log, After this Saturation of water and Saturation of hydrocarbon is calculated.
Two zones are marked in Sui Main Limestone zone 1 having volume of shale 21.07%,
porosity 12.21%, water saturation 4.8% while zone 2 having volume of shale 15.67% , porosity
13.4% water saturation 3.5%.
On the basis of low volume of shale , good effective porosity and low value of water
saturation, both zones are hydrocarbon promising.
