3. Introduction
In studying as a foreign language, student transfer both
good and weak writing skills from their first language to
English. It has also been found out that they tend to think in
two difference language at the same time and that may result
in inappropriate translation from the first language.
Many Thai students are always mistake English
adjective for verb .They treated adjectives in the manner as
they would teat a verb. Behaving like a verb , their adjective
occurred with modal auxiliary. At the same time, their
adjective occurred with
intensifiers and comparative markers like any English
adjective would do.
4. Purposes of the Study
The researcher intended to classify type of grammatical
errors and to occurrence of each kind of grammatical errors in
use.
This study aims to investigate the co - occurrences of the
student’s English with words from other categories when they
are mistake for verb.
This will lead to the inferring of the students’ errors and
provide additional information for English teacher in designing
teaching materials and remedial exercise for their student
5. Scope of the Study
The subjects of this study were thirty Nasaow
Muttayom one students. All of students are studying
in 2012.
Due to time constraints given 8 assignments for a few
weeks during the end of the second semester2012 -
2013.

7. Research Methodology
Subject of the study
The subjects of this study were thirty Nasouw
Muttayom one students. All of students are
studying at Nasouw school in 2012 – 2013
Due to time constraints given 8 assignments
for a few weeks during the end of the second
semester 2012 - 2013.
8. Instrument
From the analysis of the data, when the student mistook English adjective
verbs there are 8 pattern in order of frequency as :
Unmarked
Modal
Negation
Intensifier
Comparative
Infinitive
Aspect
Changing Forms
9. Conclusion
The result obtained from the study show Thai
student mistook English for verbs. The students put
these adjective in the co- occurrences which are
typical to Thai or applied English rules with Thai
verb.
The evidence from this study confirms the
hypothesis that that student’s errors in using English
adjective derive from the interference of their mother
tongue.
