PROTECT YOUR 'TARGET' (A TAG GAME)
1. Choose one childto become "It."
2. Divide the remainingplayersinto teamsof three memberseach.Eachteamwill choose one of the
three memberstobe a target.The targeton each teamwill wearanidentifyingmarkersuchasa piece
of maskingtape.
3. The Game:
Players holdontotheirteammates'wrists. "It" countsto 10 while the otherplayersmove awayfrom
him/her.Playerscontinue toholdeach otherswristsduringthe entire game.
4. Once "It"reaches10, theyrace to eachteam andtry to tag the targets.
5. Each team blocks/protectstheirtarget.
The winningteamisthe one that avoidshavingits'target'tagged.
If a large groupof childrenare playing,have more thanone "It".
BARNYARD
(Thiscouldalsobe calledZoo,Ocean,Circus,or OuterSpace,if you are havinga "Theme";You'djust
change the namesto go withthe theme.)
 Dependinghowmanychildrenyouhave--formteams.Youcanhave anywhere from3 Teamsto
?????
 Teamsare intheirgroupsand one endof the gym.
 Playersin teams have DESIGNATED NAMES:
Sheep,Cows,Horses,Pigs,etc.
 Two or three personsare "It"in the middle of the room.
 "It" callsoutthe namesof the animals(Example - Sheep)
 All sheepmustrunto the penat the opposite endof the roomwithoutbeingcaught.
 When"BARNYARD" is called,everyone mustrun to the opposite end.
 Penaltyforbeingcaughtisto run all aroundthe barnyard(A LAP OFTHE GYM) once--- andthen
theycan come back in the game!

  • 7. PROTECT YOUR 'TARGET' (A TAG GAME) 1. Choose one childto become "It." 2. Divide the remainingplayersinto teamsof three memberseach.Eachteamwill choose one of the three memberstobe a target.The targeton each teamwill wearanidentifyingmarkersuchasa piece of maskingtape. 3. The Game: Players holdontotheirteammates'wrists. "It" countsto 10 while the otherplayersmove awayfrom him/her.Playerscontinue toholdeach otherswristsduringthe entire game. 4. Once "It"reaches10, theyrace to eachteam andtry to tag the targets. 5. Each team blocks/protectstheirtarget. The winningteamisthe one that avoidshavingits'target'tagged.
