Dear Mr. Carpano
I am writing to inquire and apply for the position of assistant video editor. That was
advertised of the position vacancy via an advertisement in the October 8 edition of the
Providence Journal.
I am currently attending the New England Institute of Technology studying video and
audio production. As a student having worked many hours using Premiere editing
software, as well as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. I believe that skill would help
be a good fit for this position as I am a longtime Red Sox fan and closely follow local
sports. As a local high school graduate, with being very familiar with the high school
sports scene, particularly football, and would be an asset to your “Friday Night Lights”
segment.
In addition to school work, I have gained relevant experience working for Common
Sense Rhode Island, a political action committee, performing post-production editing of
their weekly internet video show; editing video of retirement ceremonies at the Naval
War College in Newport; and preparing public service announcements for the North
Kingstown Food Pantry web site.
Enclosed you will find my resume with my qualifications and background.
In closing, I would like to follow up with you via phone to discuss this position at your
earliest convenience. Thank you for your consideration and time.
Sincerely,
Tyler Pellegrino
